Yes, women only find 20% of men very atractive. As a bisexual womsn, i only find few men really attractive and but would still date less attractive men if they share many interests with me. However, when it comes to rating women by her appearence i usually find many of them very attractive. I can't explain it why it is like that. Maybe it is because of female hypergamy? I mean beauty means health in the nature, so woman want the best healthiest and strongest man? 😅
Finally! This was the most relevant answer here!!! Women just don't see men as attractive as men see women. It's natural selection. Studs with good genes get to spread their seed and women are the gate keepers that select (like other organisms in nature). If there is a god, he's a cruel jerk.
I'd say appearance is important but personality is much more important than appearance and that's where online dating fails

I'm not asking for a girl to look good. Each girl has her own natural beauty and that's what it's based on. Good hair sure but other than that. It's all about nationality, size of nose, color of eyes, shape of face, weight, color of hair... things like that. If girls took natural looking selfies that would be fine with me because that's what I'm looking for anyway
If guys had any clue what girls found attractive there would be a lot more attractive guys out there..

Women often set ridiculous standards because they have the ability to choose who they date when men only get to choose who they approach, not who they date.
Pretty much exactly right. Unless the man has a few things going for him. Until you get around 35 or so. Then you literally have your pick of the litter if your fit, at least average looking, don’t live with your mom, are making good money and especially if you have no kids of your own.
You then can be like the girls when they are younger and be all “NEXT!”
I know this for fact. I experienced it. When you’re younger the girls have all the power. 35-45, if you’re not a total looser and at least average looking and in decent shape you can literally say: “ok ladies, line forms to the right, now accepting applications for the position of permanent co*ksucker in my life.” I got divorced when I was 38. In between then and when I just got married this year i never once even dated a girl my age. They were all at least 5 years younger. Many were like 7-8 years younger and I had girls everywhere I went hitting on me. At my age, you have all the power. Wasn’t like when I was younger. Got laid A LOT when I was younger but had to try hard to get it. After my divorce I had so many girls I was seeing I had to fire so many cause I just didn’t have the time or money for them all.
I always assumed it was because women had to evolve to be as good looking as possible because thats all that matters for a woman to continue her gene pool. Men dont have to be attractive, just ambitious, funny, intelligent, strong or tall.

A 10/10 woman with a bad personality could literally just abandon the child once it's born and let it starve to death, and that's somehow better to the gene pool than a 6/10 woman who cares for her child, right?
I mean, obviously a 10/10 woman with a good personality will have better results in the "gene pool" than a 6/10 woman with a good personality, but the point is that appearance isn't "all that matters".

Yes , men spend less time on appearance BCS we can't rely on our looks to get us a date. We have to have a sense of humor and charisma to do it. Pictures don't convey that.
And yes women do expect too much.
I think women are overly critical of themselves so they seek out higher than average looking men.
I finally get to look the way I want now that I'm older and independent and stuff (shoutouts helicopter parents) and sure, it's more effort, but I'm really enjoying the results.

Its the opposite way around, if we spend too much time on our appearance we are accused of being gay. Girls aren't interested in you if people are spreading rumors that you are gay.

But if a man says that then he is regarded as disrespectful towards women and will get a bad image among women

It's online dating so the profile pictures and bio are what get you rated. You can't have high expectations from a picture
Yes, primarily because a large percentage of men are so thirsty that they will screw almost any woman with a pulse.
I believe it's a combination of how someone looks and how articulate they are when they express themselves.
