Although it wouldn't make me completely happy as I'd still feel some emptiness from the lack of completion of my goals, I still feel like finding a partner in crime would alleviate most of my unhappiness and fill in a large hole of it.

I can somewhat relate. I spent my 20's and 30's chasing my first million. Women didn't seem interested in me and they were a distraction to my overall goal anyways. But about 5 years ago, i don't know if it had to do with turning 40 or what. But i started to think what good is money if i'm alone. So i actively tried dating and what i found is mostly table scraps are still available. Most the single women at this age are psychologically damaged. Usually a couple of illegitimate kids. Barely scraping by wirh a minimum wage job. Not real pleasant to look or starting to max out their scale at home or both. Yet there expectations from guys haven't really lowered any in 20 years. Lol
So i haven't given up but i'm just embracing being single for the rest of my life. I know a good deal when i see it and it doesn't appear American womwn are it anymore. My friends keep telling me to go overseas and get an Asian wife. They say American women just aren't worth it anymore.

A relationship is work. It's not something that MAKES you happy, in fact, it's more likely to make you punch-drunk, out of your mind.
So you need to become a huge success in your own right, learn how to make yourself beyond happy - more like ecstatic. Learn to be outcome independent. Then and ONLY then, you MIGHT be in a place to share your life with someone special.

Love and relationships aren't about what you GET, it's about having so much to GIVE that you find someone to share it with.

No woman is going to be what makes you happy. I guarantee it. YOU have to be the driver of happiness in your own life. Your success, accomplishments, fulfillment.

And a woman can sense desperation from a mile away, so make sure you have plenty of options, plenty of opportunity with plenty of women. Spin plates, date A LOT. I've been in a realtionship for the past 7 years. It does add a lot of joy to my life but also adds a lot of stress and pain. I think love just likes to be tricky like that. It's something we want so badly to be happy yet it can be so so difficult for us to keep up with once we have it

Most relationships seem to detract more from a guy's quality of life than they add. Guys who choose to stay single are generally much happier than the average guy who keeps chasing relationships.
