Why won't my boyfriend let me look at his phone? Is it a big deal?

My boyfriend won't even let me touch his phone. Three times he's done this to me.

First time, I was sitting next to him while he was on his phone and I reached over him to grab something and he yanked his phone closer to him.

Second time, he was about to show me something on his phone and I moved closer and looked at his phone and he scooted back.

Third time, he was coming out of the bathroom and his phone was ringing, I picked it up to tell him who was calling and he ran over and yanked it out my hand before I could even say anything.

Every person has a right to some privacy, and if you can't trust him, when he won't let you see his phone, then it seems you have a TRUST ISSUE!
If I was with someone that kept wanting to see my phone, I would think she didn't trust me, and so how could I trust her, if she is that insecure! Bye Bye!! I would end the relationship!
You can NEVER, EVER have a good, solid relationship without TRUST!!

Big huge red flag, don’t ignore it. I once had my ex do this, keeping his phone really private from me. I had a weird feeling about it but no proof of anything and kept justifying his actions. My friend was actually the one who caught him off guard, she was sitting next to his phone which was on the charger while him and I were in the kitchen making drinks. She told me that “his baby” was calling, and I couldn’t believe it, after 4 1/2 years with him. Pay attention to the signs to universe gives you, don’t sweep them aside how I did.

Sounds pretty suspect. It's invasive to have to go through your partners phone, and I don't recommend that... But if your partner is uneasy about you using their phone for casual convenience, then that's a big red flag. Approach him about and don't accept bullshit run-arounds.

Unless you have proved to be the EXTREMELY jealous type, as in you make a scene for him so much as saying "hi" to someone from the opposite sex, then I believe he's hiding something. Privacy or not, nobody gets so paranoid about their significant other looking at their phone
