Should I be worried over my girlfriend giving another guy her phone number?

I'm 28, my girlfriend is 24, and we have been together for 8 months. The last 3 months have been long distance because of school, but she moves back home in July for good, so we have 7 more months of long distance.

Last weekend she told me that she gave this guy her number at a bar because she strictly looked at him as friendly and he was hanging out in the same friend group. She said that when he asked for her number she emphasized the fact that she has a boyfriend, and he said okay.

After she told me I felt uneasy about it, especially because I'm not living in the same state as her right now. Is this something you would be okay with? Should I just let it go? Looking for any sort of input here

She did inform him that she has a boyfriend (you) which the guy said ok to. If you feel uneasy let her know, and talk it out with her. I felt the same knowing that my guy does hang out 1-on-1 with his female friends but since covid is around he doesn't go out at all.

I just let him know that I trust him and that I won't worry anymore. He was willing to compromise and not hang out with any of his female friends anymore but I don't want to be possessive.

True, a long distance relationship is hard however trust her, she let you know that she gave her number to another guy when she could have not told you either. That right there is her letting you know that you should trust her as she also trusts you. :)

The fact that she told you she did this, means she is just looking for a friend (s) and not looking to cheat on you.

Some of us have hard times making friends with other women but find it easy to make friends with men that we have no romantic interest in.

that to me means she’s being open and honest about it.

people do have girl and guy friends.

try joining some clubs it’s a mix of genders and you end up with a bunch of numbers.

Certainly it must feel bad specially if you're long distance at the moment. Anyways I guess she must have other guy-friends even from before dating you so you should trust her I think. If she had something to hide she wouldn't have told you at all.

Under normal circumstances I would say its shady but she is the one that's let u know and told him ahe has a boyfriend so I would say it OK for not just inform her that u are uneasy about it but its not a issue as u trust her I guess
