I don't know how to get over him. Should I wait out the relationship? Help?

Me and this guy have known each other for 2 years (this year will make it 3) and we had feelings for each other but he was scared to admit it but I could tell by how he looks at me, always helpful, we flirted etc. we even wore matching outfits sometimes.

Last year we had a fall out over some petty stuff (basically people were trying to get in my head about him and things got pretty bad). He still wanted to be my friend and I was ok with it until recently he got in a relationship this year with a girl he was seeing for 2 months.

When I found out, I told him we couldn’t be friends anymore because he know I still have feelings for him and it’s not right to be friends while he’s with someone else. He said ok and he understands, but at work he still stare and smile at me like he wanna talk but doesn’t say anything.

I still speak to him from time to time (Hi or bye), but could this mean he still has feelings for me too? Otherwise he wouldn’t still be staring at me and smiling when I’m around like he still has a crush on me. And I don’t wanna do or say anything that’ll cost his relationship with his new girlfriend.

Also, I unfollowed him on social media, he know that I did but he still follows me and watch my stories from time to time.

Does he not want me to shut him out? Should I wait out the relationship if it doesn’t last? I know it sounds bad, we still like each other but I don't know how to move on.

Also, one of his friends even mentioned that the guy still wanna see and be near me at work (Which also explains why he still follows me on IG).

I would just say go with the flow here and treat him like a colleague.

He likes you no doubt , but he doesn't love you so make it clear to yourself and you can move forward in your life.

Burning a candle without the thread in it is just like melting wax still there won't be light but just a mess to clean later.

So taje your time and move on

See there is no magic trick that you can use to forget and move on the only way you can move on is to accept that he doesn't love you , of he is not right for you it's tough but only with sheer for e of Will and by time you will be able to move on acceptance is the key here.

And letting him go from your mind knowing that it's ok and it's life

I think you need to find someone else. If it's really meant to be, it will someday, but it's not going to happen now. You shouldn't be waiting and hoping that his current situation changes. You should try to find happiness yourself and maybe something even better will come along. You're torturing yourself by chaining yourself to this guy. He's with someone else now, so you should try and date someone else too.

I’m trying to move on, it’s kinda difficult cause some of the guys I met and talked to before I knew my friend were shallow and he wasn’t, I guess I’m scared I won’t find that again and I hate that I’m saying that but it’s how I feel right now unfortunately

It sounds like you are living in the past and that is not healthy. You can't grow. And he will not be the same person if he does not stay with his current girlfriend. When I was married or in a relationship, I did not do any of the child like things he seems to be doing. Do you want a guy that does not show his current girlfriend respect?

I also just wondering how come he still wanna see me and be near me (his friend explained when I asked about him still staring at me) Like it’s wrong, I know that cause I’m trying to move on but I don't know how to get past it unless I leave my job
