My friend and I have been best friends for 7 years. She just met this guy who became her boyfriend, and he is an abusive ass***. He is rude, physically violent with her and demands all of her time. Yet she is besotted with him for some reason. I was supportive of their relationship and was polite to him as long as she was happy although very concerned for her safety.
But recently I found out this guy called me a c*** behind my back. I confronted him about it while she was present because I won't stand for disrespect. He then shouted at me, calling me a bunch of slurs and he told her to "choose between him or me", and that I'm "just jealous of the bond they have." I am not jealous I just think he's a bad person as do our other friends. He said "if you keep being friends with your current friends, you're going to lose me. Choose now."
Now she won't talk to me. Should I just let her go?
