I dont know when to visit him?

So me and my husband have been long distance 6 months as he is awaiting his visa to come to this country. Long distance is very difficult for the both of us but we are remaining strong. I visited him 4 months ago but I have not been able to recently with work. My contract just ended so I am living with parents and I have quite a lot of savings to live on until I find a new job. We are submitting his visa application next week as I had to work for awhile before we applied. Then it can take up to 6 months but it could also take a few weeks too. We just dont know. I am now out of work and I was going to visit him but my husband says that I should come over when the visa arrives so that we can just leave the country together. He finds it very emotional when I have to leave and he does not take it well. But I need to find a new job and when I get that new job I will not be due holidays for awhile so I can't just visit him but then I dont want to get a new job and then his visa be denied for whatever reason and then im working and things are more difficult and I can't get over to him because of my job. . What should I do?

Perhaps you can schedule when you will start looking for work? Give it a month or two (shorter if not enough savings) and then start looking for work if it doesn't get approved or is rejected by then? That way you have some time to hangout together and could help with your parents if there is anything needed doing that you haven't been able to.
