Is there a way to ever forgive some if they cheated especially with a baby involved?

So my dumb twin brother cheated on his girlfriend he actually was about to propose to next month. They had a baby this year. When she called me she was crying and immediately packing at the same time since they live together and now she’s moving in a little with her parents. My brother is upset since she obviously took the baby with her (she’s not holding the baby against him) but I’m sure I mean not waking up to your child is hard. But he made his bed. She left while he was at work. Anyways they’re literally both being childish on social media right now sharing word memes.
Is there a way to ever fix this honestly? They seemed so happy like she was head over heels for him and he claims he loves her but you don’t cheat on people you love especially when they’re postpartum.

Time and discussion are the only ways to heal this rift. Often when a woman is occupied by pregnancy she's tired and distracted. A husband's sexual needs and company aren't a priority. If a man is too immature to realize this and be compassionate, he may go elsewhere to feed his ego and sexual needs. It's a stupid, selfish move. And, as you say, they are also being childish in other ways.

A baby being involved is neither here nor there. People cheat on another PERSON and relationship. Doesn't matter if there's marriage, children, houses, cars, cats or dogs. Sometimes the cheating is a symptom: It means the person wants out, no matter what they SAY about loving the other person. You can love someone and not be able to stay with them. The relationship may have run its course.

This is what she and her partner have to determine. Does he want out? Can she and he resolve what was going on and put it behind them? Seeing a counselor together might help. An objective referee can guide them to a positive reunion or a good ending. The child will require his financial support and a court will have to determine this and custody/visitation rights. It's better that both be prepared for these difficult issues to come.

If it’s the first time he cheated she will probably go back, especially since there’s a kid involved.

Forgiveness does nothing if the issue isn't resolved.

1.) He cheated - why did he cheat? This requires an actual definitive answer. If he doesn't know, that's even worse. He just confirmed he doesn't know what he wants in a woman.

2.) SHOULD he be forgiven to the point that she stays with him? Because if she forgives him and DOESN'T break up? He'll do it again in the future without #1 being resolved.

No amount of words will break up the following lesson he'll gain from this. "If I cheat on her, she'll take me back." It won't be the only lesson (we hope not), but he'll learn that one. It takes a lot of willpower and the right choices to not cheat again.

Forgiveness is in the cards, but it shouldn't be an invitation to hurt someone again. Sad situation. She'd have to take the lead on this for it to even be possible.

I’ve been cheated on. It’s worse than a family member dying. She will never forgive him and obviously never trust him. They will argue a lot and it could turn physical. She will also tell all her friends and family he’s a cheater. And she will most likely cheat on him in the future because he cheated. It depends on how bad it is and how much she saw. Did she see texts? Photos? Videos? She will be thinking of him going deep into another girl and passionately making love to her while she’s at home with baby. The child is the only anchor. It’s going to be a rough ride for at least a year or two.
