What are your thoughts on a married couple sharing an email address?

Backstory: A guy friend of mine offered to help review my resume, I asked him what email address is best to send it to and he gave me an email address that sounds like his wife's social media username as opposed to his others. He then told me that is now their main account even though he has other email aliases. He then went on to tell me that if I feel like it I could send my resume through the messenger we use as another option and then repeats that sadly this is now his new email and to give him a heads up before I send anything over there.

So i'd love to know what is everyone's thoughts on married people (or even anyone in a committed relationship) sharing one email address...

I think it is a great idea especially with Family, Friend, and Institutions that you both share... Hello... will keep "Issues" to a minimum... and have as Contact on/from the social media stuff. That would change your life totally.

I think that should be part of like marriage counseling or premarital counseling. THAT will separate the men from the boys !!!

My wife shares everything same passwords, email, phone, money, etc, we are extremely happy with that. She is a little more into politics then me but that her. Gee we ever share the same Facebook account.

It gets confusing. I send bills to people, and a lot of times the non-billing couple will look at the email, so it look like it's been read and then the bill-paying couple will not bother to look at it and we end up having to rebill. That happens fairly often.

Nah sharing one together is weird. We have our own accounts and then the share passwords. Even my kids have their own emails cuz I don't wanna share mine with them lol

My thoughts exactly. I don’t know it seems…bizarre. Especially since I emailed him at other emails before now all of a sudden they share one.. hers…🙄
