Do you think that nice guys choose to be with women who "are not so nice" but hot looking just to cope with a bad past relationship?

I know that men and women choose to be with others for a variety of reasons, but I am talking about really nice guys who like serious relationships and maybe they have lost their trust to women, so they prefer to be with someone who attracts them only physically, not caring much about her character or behavior. As I have seen from others experiences these relationships don't last long and at the end it is the "nice guy" who gets hurt, because he is being manipulated somehow. However, he repeats the same pattern again and he ends up feeling hatred or distrust towards women.

Do men use this kind of "hook ups" as a defense mechanism because they are afraid to commit again to a new relationship and getting hurt? Can a man be interested simultaneously in a woman only as a hook-up and another one who maybe inspires him deeper emotions, but he chooses the first one because he is not ready for emotional investment? Have you ever experienced something like this?

Think there’s a variety of reasons why amendment for someone considered hot or sexier than the average woman. Perhaps one of the first reasons is to show his ex that he can hook up with someone deemed better looking than her. Kind of a form of payback so to speak. I’m sure there are other reasons as well, but just to see what it is like to date/hook up with a prettier girl than he has in the past as an ego massage, of he thinks she might change her mindset about dating after being with him

No. You're completely misreading this. First off you typically see somebody before you hear them. So it's just natural for men to be attracted visually first. Next most women do not tell you who they are freely. Guys have to ask questions to Guage what type of person she is and most women will only tell you half answers. If a guy goes to fast he finds himself neck deep incrazy before he knows it. This I why I recommend to guys to take their time vetting her. But so many women today have very short attention spans. This one woman on this very site told me, "I give a guy a week and then I reject him FOR GOOD". So guys know they're on a clock the minute he says hello to her. And most guys would rather just take the gamble then risk being shut out. I don't agree with this. I'd rather be alone than risk the fallout with the wrong person. But I'm not most guys. And I wasn't always this way. I would imagine age has a lot to do with it.

I'm introspective enough to say there's some truth to this although I think you are making the same basic mistake that women make about men's lives. That mistake is that men really have dating choices like women.

We don't we ether take the extremely rare offer which usually takes months of effort money and hard work or we are single.
