Husband and I have been together for almost 10 years, married for 4. We have a 1 year old baby boy. He’s an engineer and I’m a pharmacist.
he asked for a divorce. He’s asked for it in the past and I thought we fixed things and moved past it but I guess not.
we live in a boring city in Florida, nothing around us and I work all the time and he does too but he gets off at 5 and has weekends off, I get off at 9 and work every other weekend. So not much time for us.
when he asked for a divorce, I kept looking for ways to makw it work. I told him I would go part time so else can spend more time together. That we should move to Orlando because there’s more to do. And he basically just agreed. But then when I ask later if divorce is what he wants and he says yeah, that’s the solution is to just be gone and we could share our son. And that even tho he loved me it didn’t mean we had to stay together. My heart shattered. We had sex minutes before all that so my feelings are so confused.
he also made a comment and said “Even if I stabbed you in the leg you wouldn’t leave”. Not literally. But I told him I know we have had fights in the past and had a rough start but it’s always fixable. I use to nag and fight a lot and he said I loved being miserable which is false. Moral of the story is I want to fix us, I want him to be happy with me. I’m so afraid and have so much anxiety at the moment.
