So generally were I come from ( middle east ) men take care of the money and savings and the wife just gets spoiled and spend it even while having a job of my own I spend it on myself unless I offer to help. We have been married for 5 years.
My husband (29) likes when I (26) ask for stuff but I have realized that he always dips into his savings for generally materialistic things this gives me anxiety because I take Money Planning very seriously, we have 3 kids and We want to spoil them rotten. It got to the point that I never tell him if there is a bag or shoe I like. I just get it myself and when he sees that he gets frustrated because i don't ask him anymore and when I bring up the subject of savings and stuff he just says leave that to me you shouldn't worry about it. But I do because for example there should be by now a certain amount for the kids school to pay up in January, guess how much is there in there account? ZERO!
A drew him a PERFECT money plan with the amount he gets, he gets to spend and save more then you usually does and HE JUST DOESN'T DO IT !!
I have opened up the subject before maybe a year ago and I am thinking of opening it up tonight.
We have 2 options
1. He transfers the savings amount to me and I will do the savings ( seeing that I am very successful with my own savings) BUT I hate that option because I will give up the feminine energy I have of just spending and I'll be gaining the masculine energy of taking a mans main choir
2. Listen to him and not worry about it and do what I do and let him face the music and that will get him to take savings seriously
