I'm still breaking up but would you want to know the truth or not?

What if I'm breaking up just to be with someone else? Would you want to know that's the reason I'm leaving you? Or should someone include other reasons in a break-up?

I haven't done anything with anyone. I will break-up for that reason. But I'm not sure if should be brutally honest about that or say another reason such as ''I just to be single and not deal with a relationship right now'' or ''I got to focus on school more'', etc.

So I think you should break up with him and be firm on your break up. Just tell him that you don’t see a future between you too. You don’t need to tell him you are seeing someone else but you aren’t lying when you are sharing you just don’t see a future with him. What you choose to do after you break up with him is on you.

Yeah I wish there was a nicer way to break-up without hurting him but nope there isn't. I can't think of anything else other than ''I'm breaking up because I want to date someone else''.

You can tell him your feelings for him are fading and you don't want to keep him hanging for a relationship that has a high chance of it falling apart, it's better than telling him you left him for someone else, you aren't lying, you are just not telling him that it's cause your emotions for someone else grew

I'm going to break up soon within this week. At first I was going to give the ''I need to focus on college more'' or ''It's really not you. I'm just not ready for a relationship yet'' because I thought that was a nicer way of letting someone go, less painful. But oh well.

Better hurt him all at once now then have him wonder for all his life what he did wrong. The truth will free him
