How soon do you add your boyfriends family on social media?

my boyfriend said it’s weird for me to accept his family’s Facebook requests because we only been together for a year and we don’t even have kids and we aren’t even married. what y’all think? even though I’ve met them a few times. he makes a big deal about it and says it’s weird for me to be close to them

This question is probably not for me, but adding someone to my social media account is the least of my problems and if my family members are upset about it, there is a big problem with them, because I think reality and what I do in a physical world and how I physically treat them should matter A Whole lot more than virtual none-sense.

I’d accept any Facebook request from someone I know. If I’ll accept an aquaintance I let once I’ll accept my SO family member as soon as they send me a request and I would think nothing of it.
