I think that most of the times they don't work because people are unable to overcome the distance. But if they're able to be always together, they might work.
They will never be any more than an online acquaintance unless someone is prepared to move countries for the other person, and it is very rare when that happens.
Can't call it acquaintance if there is a romantic feeling in between, with tons of video chat interaction. I wouldn't say the feeling is healthy under that circumstance, but I neither believe you can judge someone else feelings based on your own assumptions. LDR can evoque deep feelings.
It sucks because you think they do actually mean what they say and have no ideas about their expression.. Whatever crying or laughing since they are fooling you around
@Bklynbadboy12 You'll love mine, I met my boyfriend on here actually. I said hey he responded a few hours later and we talked for several hours getting to know each other and as we did we fell in love. To the point where he asked me if I was single and I told him I was. He was shocked when I told him that I was. I told him that I'd love to be his girlfriend and in those hours we said I love you to each other. We ended up texting each other through the night and didn't get any sleep. Ever since that night we have remained together. On January 28th will be our third year anniversary and with the way things are going a proposal is not far away ❤
I agree with you. They can work, but physical, not just virtual, contact is necessary at some point with some frequency, if not permanently. LDRs require more discipline and strength of character.

I think it can, if you’re really into the person and think you’re gonna get married for example, you’re just in two different locations

It can only work temporarily. They will need to make a plan for one of them to move eventually and have an agreed upon timeline for it to happen.
Yes they can if you both really care about the other one... but for the most part they don't work because they are hard..

If you like each other enough, you will make it work.

Yes I think they CAN work (and many have) just like any other relationship.
No unless there is a planned end to it. And it's a temporary endurance.
they can, if you care enough and the existence of that person is more important to you then you can
They can work if both people put in the effort to make it work.
I answered "no", because statistically they're a failure and the 1 in a thousand that DO work out are obviously quite rare.
there's a saying in Spanish: amor de lejos es amor de quatro.
I had some disappointments in the beginning but eventually found someone so yes they can work.
Yup I've been in one nearly three years and it's still going strong 💪
I love to hear the success stories I love it

They can work, all it takes is two people willing to make it work.
Yes, of course it can. I have no doubts. I’ve experienced it before and I was successful.
I did it and enjoyed it but she cheated like hell when I wasn't around.
I think they can I just can’t be in one it hurts me emotionally I have tried
