The guy I’m ‘seeing’ is ignoring me, do I text him again to ask why?

I’ve been seeing this guy for only 3 weeks so it’s so weird for something like this to happen so early I’ve not experienced this, I’ve probably experienced this after like a year. It has been going really well we have been getting along great and the sex is great too he’s told his family about me, etc. Although a red flag is he came out of a relationship 2 months ago and she has a boyfriend now but I still find it very soon.

the past 5 days he’s been really really off he did text me saying he’s so busy and got loads going on so he’s sorry for his replies but he’s been going 1 day without talking to me. I asked him yesterday how comes he’s being off and he said he’s sorry he’s not at all he’s just so busy and got this going on and that he’s gonna come and see me when he’s better and not busy. But apart of me can’t understand why he can’t just say a simple good morning or hello?

shall I ask him again what is going on or just let him get on with it and see what happens and how he acts in a week! I’m driving mtslef insane trying to figure it all out? Tbh I don’t even know if he wants a relationship it seems he does but these past 5 days are off putting for me. Is it clingy if I ask him again and ask him what he’s looking for, shall I just leave it to him now? I’ve been on delivered for a day again? It’s not even like he’s ignoring me fully fully he will ignore me for a bit then maybe messgae but I hate stuff like this. Maybe he’s just in it for the sex I don’t know? He always talks about how ‘tight’ I am and how I’m really good but I just thought this would be a compliment.
