Girlfriend not bothering to read my messages correctly then writes random things.. advice?

So we stayed at my partners family over Christmas for 2 weeks, we came home and I haven't seen her much, when I did see her when we got time some of the past 2 weeks we had together things have stopped us actually spending time. When we did have time her family would message and she would make sure to respond without any issues and had a long phone call once or twice. I didn't have any issues with this as it was family however...

It's been less than 2 weeks and due to some family issues, she has had to go back for a few days. She keeps telling me she misses me and things, but she seems to just not bother reading my messages correctly... just past lunch and even now for example I messaged good night how much I love her and other things, she ignored the good night, the other stuff I wrote said love you then something about waffles... and just hadn't bothered to read my message... it feels like she just doesn't care as much as she is saying... if she can't be bothered to actually read my messages... and I haven't sent a lot.. should I just stop bothering to send?

You are seriously overreacting. You are aware she is back home for some family issues. Maybe her mind is elsewhere right now on dealing with whatever is going on with family. I could understand if this was happening all the time but the way you wrote your question it sounds like this has only been happening for less then 2 weeks and you are getting upset. A least despite whatever is happening she is still taking the time to respond. Aleast she isn't ignoring you

She read half the message and didn't even read it properly... and no over Christmas she was with her family 24/7, she came back and has been busy with work, messaging them constantly and now back with family. Its been a lot longer than a month and before Christmas. Hence why I'm now writing a question about it

How about call her instead of texting! You are her boyfriend, you should be consistently trying to bring more meaningful ways to say I love you than just a text message. Call her.

@asker yep absolutely because if she has time to pick up for a quick call , she will or if she doesn’t answer, it’s in her court to pick up, maybe send her a cute voice message. I don't know why grown adults rely so much on text lol

@asker because you are expecting her to get back to you right away, so she is definitely missing parts because she is busy with family. Call her. If she doesn’t answer, that’s her responsibility to respond to you back when she’s ready. That’s my best advice here

Ask her out for a meal. or at least a coffee or something so you can talk face to face and find out what the issue is if there actually is one. Texting sucks.

Maybe do not pay much attention to what she replied to each qs by detail. Talk on the phone for important things keep messaging only for hi and bye and how are you..
