Why do my best friend hang out with me more than her boyfriend?

I don't know why she wants to hang out with me MORE than her boyfriend. If I were her, I would hang out with my boyfriend more than her... but I will hang out with her but less often.

Whenever I tell her to hang out with him she'll say "but I want to hang out with you! I'm desperate to be with you." she's so clingy and needy towards me but I'm happy that she told me that I make her happy... so that could be a reason why.

So, what do y'all think? Comment your thought please!

One possibility is that she has a crush on you and the boyfriend is just a cover story.

Or she likes your company as and he's not much fun to be around.

Well, she did told me that I'm one of her favorite friend to hang around. Thank you for your opinion! I have another question if you don't mind...
Do you know why she suddenly get mean towards me when I tell her I want to hang out with my other friend (s)? She'll always act happy and excited around me when we both are spending time alone but when I invite one of my friend, she suddenly become cold and harsh towards me and my friend. She would abandon me and i don't know why. It makes me worried
