Should I tell my girlfriend my friend confessed to me?

My friend told me she wishes I didn’t have a girlfriend and that I was her type.
I felt like telling my girlfriend because it made me feel like I didn’t feel any way for any other girl and that she was truly special to me; I obviously said to my friend that I only see her as a friend.

But I then I realised telling my girlfriend what happened might cause worry or second guessing about me.
Does she need to know or are some things best kept unknown

Personally I'd tell her, because if I was in the position, I'd still want to know if some other guy flirted with the person I care about, I think you should just so she doesn't found out some other way and then she actually becomes stops hesitantto trust you, if you tell her she will trust you more because you did what you had too, hiding it just seems like it can cause unnecessary trouble

I don't think so, I would be very clear about it. Going forward she will be cautious of the other girl though so you may need to reassure her on that, but it's a good thing that you felt the way you did
