Because it's no different how guys want a really attractive woman. If a guy can pull a woman who's really attractive it gives the PERCEPTION that he has more value then he does. Men are territorial. But so are women. Women do it by commanding a man's attention. And the bigger game she takes down, the more guys she has on a leash, and the more women she DENIES a guys attention the more she feels like she's winning. This is ALSO why women will flirt with men that she would NEVER date. Half of it is she's honing her skill (sharpening her claws if you will). Guys learn flirting at puberty.
