Would you want to know if one of your boyfriend's friends said he would sleep with you if he could?

I was talking to my single guy friend about women he could potentially see, mostly single women in our social circle and also ladies he's talking to on dating sites.

He said I was lucky I had an incredible girlfriend and I laughed and said thanks, then he said he'd definitely be after her if she was available.

He's not that big into relationships.

Anyways I kept this to myself for a week and I don't know if I should tell my girlfriend that he said about her or not, it kinda feels like I'm lying by omission.

If you were her would you want to know?

It is lying by omission only of you have an affirmative obligation to report this to her. What good comes from telling her this comment?

I guess she's know to watch out for him?

Well let me turn that around on you and ask why do you think you should? What do you think there is to gain?

I see 3 possible outcomes:

1. She has no reaction and life goes on.
2. She now feels weird every time he is around, making things awkward.
3. She flattered by another man - a man thats not you.

I don't really see the benefit. But you tell me?

Well I feel like couples should be open to eachother about things, like what they hear about one another

I mean, it's obviously your relationship. If you feel like she would be upset that you didn't tell her, go for it.
Personally, I would not want my SO to tell me, and we are very close and we do tell eachother damn near everything. It would only make me uncomfortable (#2) when that friend came around.
Honestly, I think your friend should have kept that to themselves to begin with. But he said what he said. So do whatever you feel is right.

An exception I guess would be if for some reason they will be alone together, then I guess you could give her a heads up. But tbh if you have to worry about him making a move, I don't really think he is your friend 😬

Well sometimes I have get togethers at my place, or we all go out to a pub, or camping, and I want to start bringing my girlfriend along, she only met him a couple times and it was brief

I doubt he'd actually try anything with her though

Yeah that's probably for the best, also she's kinda like a combination of classy and nerdy and he's a jock and a player so I doubt she'd be interested in his advances
