How do you get your partners relatives to like you?

I’m meeting my girlfriend’s grandparents for the first time next week and I’m SO nervous. I don’t think they will like me, and my girlfriend keeps warning me that they will probably be rude 😅 (which is basically confirming that they won’t like me).

At least my girlfriend doesn’t really value their opinion, and it won’t matter to her at all what they think, but still, I’d like to make a good impression.

Nah. Go in. Be respectful but don't take shit. Ultimately it is not you that they need to like but rather they need to approve of your feelings for your partner.

You like/care/love/so on your partner. You would like to get along with them of course but there is no need to force it. Be social, open, make a few jokes, tell some personal stories. Take an interest in them. End of the day though, if you don't get along it is fine as long as they know your feelings and intent are genuine.

Just be yourself. If they don’t like you, they probably have trouble liking themselves ! Changing your personality for them?, sounds like they’re just not happy period!
