What would you say/advise your best friend to do in a huge toxic relationship?

My best friend showed me those text message from her girlfriend.. seriously this is out of comprehension level.

She refused to take of be part of my friend life's issues

She need to facetime him so she can know where he is and with who

She diminish the gravity of her reaction because she deal with anxieties and he must be responsable of how she see and react to issues.

This day and age everyone just self diagnoses EVERYTHING and they throw around all of these buzz words.

"TOXIC" is one of these words. One person diagnoses another person to be "toxic".

It is getting so ridiculous that as soon as I hear someone tell me someone else is "TOXIC" I just call BS and stop listening.

All relationships... calmy, lovingly, honestly express to the other person the things they want from a relationship. Express how actions A, B, C that the other person does gives them feelings of the love, commitment, trust they long for and that actions, X, Y, Z give them feelings of hurt, anxiety, neglect or whatever.

Talk it out. Try each others best to meet each others wants and needs.

If that doesn't work, if they are being hurt or neglected or their values and boundaries are not lining up then WALK AWAY.

Relationships aren't rocket science.

I call BS on labeling every boyfriend or girlfriend toxic. The word no longer has any meaning and YOU calling them toxic doesn't necessarily make them toxic.

Well.. i dont think it's actually a self diagnostic to take position on a relationship by calling it toxic.. if you meant there is too many poeple judging them as they actually has the holly truth and know what's best as they were experts in that field.. well I'm agree with you.. I'm the first to always calm myself or anyone else about saying stuff after only one version of the story and probably a version filled with wrong presumption.. but here there is more than one even with full size text message showing a huge gap between a right way to be and a wrong/bad one

stop trying to change people, they won't change for you. If you feel they are toxic, and affecting your emotional wellbeing, then end the friendship, your friends mental health, is not your problem, that is their problem and their responsibility.

I really feel bad for you friend. So much disrespect I can sense in that text message. She doesn't have an empathy for your best friend. Please tell your best friend to leave her asap.

I would advise him/her to leave the relationship but at the end of the day. I can’t force anyone to do anything. If you suspect physical abuse. File a police report.
