I’ve been single for 4 years. However I did have a friends with benefits going on 2 years ago with a possibility of getting married (her idea). But it was pure economic reasons and it would of benefited her much more then me.

But it’s sad and painful to see so many guys especially middle aged guys dealing with so much isolation and loniliness nowadays. I try to be as friendly and supportive as possible to older guys I know in my life. Just a conversation can go a long way for them.

Nothing much lately, I don’t have any vices, not an addictive person, I work too many hours a week to get into trouble or bored. I do whatever I want on the weekends but no one to go places with. Seems like more men are single than women, most women have someone so there must be more men than women in the USA yet it’s pretty even worldwide so I never understood why so many men are single and there’s not that many that are gay to offset this ratio

There are actually more 3 million more women in the USA then men. But women can use the internet and travel to find their “perfect” man for easily then men can. That’s a big part of it.

I am not a Andrew Tate fan. But he did make an excellent point one time:

“30 years ago a hot girl living in Omaha Nebraska could only choose from men locally. Now she can get online and find a rich guy in New York or even abroad.”

He’s got a point there. But tbh this really isn’t good for women either. They won’t find love but will just get bought and exploited by rich men. But until they stop doing this it’s going to be like this.

Tbh I wish women would just UNDERSTAND what it’s like for single men out there. Not saying they have to feel sorry for men. Any kind of force change is impossible (not that I like forceful changes in society anyway…. that would literally be sharia law).

But my biggest issue is the willful ignorance women have about how it is for single men vs single women. Just how judgmental how many women are about that. Single women generally have it much easier than single men when all else equal.

It’s only hard for them if they do make bad decisions and don’t put any effort into taking care do their bodies. Either that they are always trying to date up.

Anyway singlehood rates are skyrocketing in the USA. There has to be some sort of breaking point with this. Men feel the pain first of course. But you can’t burn men without eventually harming women. But it seems they always have to find out the hard way.

I am unhappily single, have had absolutely no success in dating for the last 2 years (as in constant (im not interested and "i have a boyfriend".) I know im not bad looking and i make good money, im debt free, have lots of skill in several trades, i have a nice mgb roadster i have partially restored, and i still have no success.

I did not want to be too pessimistic with this poll.

I know exactly how you feel. There is intangible “what women really want” that no man will ever 100% answer correctly. But some answer better then others.

But I think guys like us want a woman “we are on par” with. You could easily get someone who is not in your league.

Anyway it’s easier said then done but you honestly need to act like you just don’t care. Women have very strong intuition to pick up on loniliness, frustration and insecurity in men and it’s an instant turn off for them. Even if we got legitimate reasons for it.
