Why ask us for answers rather than ask those who have the real answers?

Are you afraid to ask those people, or do they refuse to tell you the truth? If you are afraid, work on yourself. If they refuse to tell you the truth, question your reasons for maintaining that relationship.

Do strangers have a good understanding of what is going on inside your head? If not, what are the reasons you seek understanding of an individual by asking people who don’t know that individual? What would be more effective ways of gaining the understanding you seek?

You're asking a question everybody has thought about since becoming a member on this site :-). I completely agree with you.
Sometimes people want to get an outside opinion that may not be biased through interconnected relationships. Sometimes this is a steppingstone for individuals to work up the courage to ask the question within their close friend or family circle.
I hope this question gets promoted.

Seeking to expand our perspective is great, but too many people are just wanting others to do their thinking for them. Just accepting what a stranger says or going along with whatever the majority agrees on is not broadening our perspective. Asking strangers to guess their next door neighbor's favorite color is a total waste of time. Seeking reassurance to face our fears is perfectly fine, though, as long as we learn from the experience and don't need constant reassurance for the same things.

If I want to know what a person is thinking, only that person can provide me with that answer. Unfortunately, there are too many people who insist they know more about what a person is thinking or feeling than that person does. If someone says "I'm sad," others may respond with "No, you're not" or "You shouldn't feel sad." Let's show an interest in truly discovering what people think or feel without projecting our perspective on them.

Let's ban everything you don't like to see or hear. After all, whatever makes sense to you should make sense to everyone else in the world, also. Let's all become clones of you. Variety is useless. Big brother is watching.

AI art is generated by stealing art from artists, its theft, the artists should sue the AI developers.
AI art in its current state, makes tons of errors, and if further developed to remove those errors, would promote laziness among children in terms of learning to draw, paint, or otherwise make art.

The world needs human artists.

Yes, some people just want to convince themselves they are right by having others believe the same as they do. There are others who have been conditioned to believe they're too stupid to think for themselves, so they rely on others to do all their thinking. We can look to parents who are constantly spoon-feeding their kids and telling them what to do or not do all the time for the source of this problem. Is it too much to ask to encourage kids to believe in themselves, their ability to observe what's going on and come up with effective solutions? I don't believe the numbers of people on this site who have to ask others if their situation is toxic.

As far as opinions and facts go, there are both people who believe their opinions are facts along with people who believe the opinions of others are facts. If it can't be back up with scientific proof, it isn't factual. For instance, religion as a belief is perfectly fine, but when people push their religious agenda onto others by claiming it is irrefutable fact, that becomes dysfunctional. How many people who push their agenda onto others would welcome others pushing their agenda onto them?
