Do you believe Men have a harder time living without a mate then Women?

I believe this to an extent. Men I've noticed are quick to replace a girl after a breakup. Even older men where their spouse either died or the union ended, are again quick to get a new women..

Women seem to stay single for several years because we either don't want to settle for less or need to heal from a toxic union. Maybe more women are content with out a partner. I know for me, I'm more confident and happy when single. Every love union i had was not healthy and most cheated. So what's the point.

hm my friend who is a girl must be a guy then lol she always has an immediate back up if she breaks up with her boyfriends. sometimes even when they're still together! just her or the guy hasn't decided to break up yet. but she knows it's coming. so she begins finding someone else and talking to them

so in her situation, i definitely know she has a hard time being single. i've known her since i was like 14. she has only been single for maybe a week total since i've known her! she cannot be alone. it's actually kind of sad

so i guess it depends on the person and their coping mechanism and how dependent they are

Typically women want to marry a guy who raises her financial status. If 80-90% of the reason she got married was for that and the guy dying left her with 3-10 million in life insurance and his life savings, there's no rush for her to marry again. And I KNOW a lot of these widows are banging guys in secret. They're single but not sexless. Very few guys look at women as a meal ticket, regardless of how often a lot of you women try to tell us we're lying about that. We don't give a f how much money you make. We never got with you for that. If you are the center of a man's universe he can probably get over it in 3 months. We're wired to be tough and to be able to get over stuff. Not all guys are tough tho. Some guys lose their minds if their wife dies.

And I suspect men are more sentimental. Just because I get a new wife wouldn't mean that I ever forget the one who died. And if I made her any promises about to do if she died I'd keep them 100%. I've always been the one pushing women to keep to responsibilities to relatives/in laws. Not the other way around.

Reading some other comment where a guy says he's usually single for a year between relationships: When I was young and really into a woman then breaking up could be devastating. But it got easier each time till eventually, it's not a big deal. As a man you have to be able to handle stuff. You should be thankful for that because in the US 1 in 3 men are sexless and if these guys couldn't handle it you would have a 50 million-strong army of rape. Some people need more time to sort out their feelings, and some are, in general, not in a hurry and prefer to wait for this special person than be a serial dater. It really depends. In my own experience i usually spent a year + between relationships. Its also been my experience that when i break up with someone, she usually has someone else she's fucking with in days. Which basically proved to me that i was right in breaking up.

Men seem to need more of an emotional support from a women. Women usually get this support from family or other women. I'm not saying 100% Men have a harder time being single. For the record my grandfather died when my grandmother was in hee early 60s. She never dated again, she had friends and traveled often. Her kids and grandkids were her life too. Maybe men have better escape methods to burden the pain of loneliness. It's said women have a stronger social network then so e men.
