That’s awful advice. That’s how the 50s and 60s baca me the era of divorce.

In my experience letting my girlfriend know something that happened just creates an argument. She is much happier when she is not informed

It does seem that ignorance is bliss but when people keep things from one another they feel betrayed and hurt that you didn’t trust them. If they get upset because of what it is then it’s never meant to be. I’ve found that they’re more angry that you didn’t share it with them.

A good rule of thumb is if someone can’t or won’t help with something, don’t tell them about it.

That would have saved me a lot of trouble
