Can men and women just be friends? People say yes, but I don’t think anyone really believes so?

Ok, so I have a male co-worker that I’m work friends with. We talk a lot. I have a female co-worker. We talk a lot. No one cares that me and my female coworker talk a lot, but people notice that me and my male coworker talk a lot. They notice and make comments about how often we talk or I missed him. I think it’s making me self conscious. I talk a lot with everyone!! Why are they singling out me talking with him?

Before anyone makes the comment, I’ll say right now that I get all my work done. I perform above and beyond. So no issues from a quality of work. No one cares if people talk a lot. Everyone at my job gets their work done.

First of all you and the friend that you're talking to it's only your business you both know the truth that's all that matters.
There's people in life that have no life so they create drama in order to get one.

They are unhappy so they try to make other people unhappy let them talk who really cares what they think or what they say not unless they straight up walk up to you and ask you what's going on and even then you don't have to tell them but people like that are people that you walk away from and stay away from because anybody that has drama in their life and anybody that judges other people they're the people that are going to hold you back because they want you involved with their drama..

So with all that.
yes you can be friends with anybody.
And truly be friends male or female because you have no drama

Only if there isn’t any attraction what so ever between the both of you , then yes you can be friends , the truth is no guy or girl is going to invest a lot of time into the opposite sex just to be friends , if they are investing a lot of their time into the opposite sex then they want more than just friendship

Well you might not have attraction to them , but they might have attraction to you , and you might just be blind to it. It happens more than we think. I had girl friends’ that I just consider friends that I thought were just my friends , and the second I started showing interest in another girl , some of those so called girl friends got jealous and upset that I met someone else. Leaving me with a question mark over my head like WTF? . The thing to look out for is how much time they are investing in you , if they are reaching out to you on a daily basis , they pretty much want more than friendship with you

Have genuinely never seen it happen. I have seen guys pretend they don't have romantic feelings for the girl or vice versa but have not met a genuinely straight single guy and a genuinely straight single lady that are just friends.

Really? I didn’t realize it. I guess maybe that’s why comments are being made. In fact, the only people commenting on how often we talk and saying I miss him are other male co-workers!! I wonder if my male coworker friend doesn’t see me as that. We talk a lot.

The answer is... sometimes. But the reality is that any time the man is attracted to the woman, it's not possible, and that happens far more often that WOMEN realize.

This is a concept that the vast majority of wonen struggle with because they are simply unable to see things from the male perpective on this issue.

I say yes that's mental and women can be friends. I have several female friends and haven't nor would I want anything more than friendship. But I've had the same sorts of comments about it and several people have thought that there was something more between us, but we were just really close friend's she was kinda like a sister to me.
