Ladies, When it comes to gift giving and gift receiving, Would you rather your husband or boyfriend guess what you want or ask you?

Just curious, this was inspired by an answer to my other question. I tend to listen when my wife drops hints, but i am also not above asking her specifically what she wants.

My husband is pretty good at listening to my complaints and finding ways to help fix them. Last month, he got me a coffee mat cause I kept complaining I didn’t like how the coffee machine looked on the countertop and taking up space and making messes.

Before that, I said I needed to converse because mine look like they’ve seen better days.

I like surprises so I would rather my boyfriend chose even though he’d already know what I’d like but since I don’t have one I don’t receive anything

And I would ask him what he wants because i wouldn’t know what to get him as I’ve never gotten a guy anything before 🫤

Right? Im SUPER hard to buy for. It frustrates my wife to no end. lol.

Yeah exactly. Thankfully I choose not to buy certain things and then let my wife know "man I'd love to have one of those" and so on. She gets the hints most of the time.

I am extremely particular with what I want…and my ex hubby has gotten me something that was not what I wanted and I felt really bad after he spent a lot of time getting it for me. And it wasn’t what I wanted. He held that against me for a long time.
now I learned to tell my hubby 3 things and he can surprise me with any of the 3. In addition…I also ask him for his opinions and we also go shopping together…if it’s jewelry…he tells me if it looks good.
we always tell each other what are some things we want. 😊

I think it's good to start off with asking, and then if they don't have anything specific in mind then you can just guess on what she might like
