Guys, He told me to find someone else after he failed his company test, why? Does he feel like I wouldn’t want to be with him because he failed?

A guy I was seeing casually came over and spent the night with me. We were cuddling and he told me how he failed the company entry exam. He had been preparing for a while now. I started asking him about his study routine and suggested that he study even after coming home from his part time job for 2/3hours and so on. I told him to be more strict with his time and not only study during the day.

He liked the idea but then realized he wouldn’t have time to spend with me and sleepover. He told me he has to rewrite the test and doesn’t know yet when the next test is. He then told me I should get back on the app and find another man because I seemed to enjoy sex.

I told him he was the last man I’d sleep with since I went almost 3 years without sex. I wasn’t just going to sleep around. I told him I enjoyed it with him and he said the same thing. We were up the whole night talking and it was wonderful.
He left his unopened condom like the first night he came over. I don’t know if he’s feeling down because of the test or really means it.

We really connected and I was hoping to let things happen naturally. I like his honesty and how sincere he is. I always feel secure with him even though it’s casual. We trusted each other and were always honest. Something I never had in a normal relationship.

Wow sis, that's really tricky situation. A few things could be going on:

- He may feel embarrassed and like less of a man for failing the test, so pushing you away as a result. Guys can be sensitive about stuff like that.

- Could also be worried you won't see him the same now or think he's not ambitious/driven enough. Some people get judgy about things like that.

- Maybe realizing keeping things casual will be harder if he needs to focus on studying and doesn't want you to lose interest.

I'd say be straight with him - tell him you like him for who he is, not what job he has. Failures happen but what matters is how he deals with it. Reassure him you wanna keep seeing each other and are there to support, not judge.

Suggest keeping in touch casually but less physical so he can study. Leave the ball in his court then - hopefully he sees you're genuine and will come around.

If he still pushes you off after that then he may just need some time alone. But at least you'll know you tried and can move forward either way. Hope it works out sis! Keep me posted.

Communicate all of that with him. He sounds like he is being hard on himself. It is common for a man to place too much value on his career. If he comes from a traditional Asian family he will more than likely be harder on himself when he fails in academia or his career. They have a higher cultural importance in a lot of Asian cultures.

most men in this universe are too sensitive for example me I would turn 21 years old on 3rd July 2024 but still single and virgin and I have decided to remain that only because I failed thrice in exam and I am not worth to live in this universe I am hopeless and useless that's what he might feel

Guys feel a lot of pressure to be successful and in Asian culture it's even stronger this expectation so he probably felt like you wouldn't want to be with him anymore. Just like you said.
