I accidentally told my boyfriend I loved him when he left for work! Pretend it didn't happen?

I was half asleep when my boyfriend left for work, and when he kissed me on the forehead and told me to have a good day I was half way still dreaming, and I woke up to hearing myself say "I love you". We haven't said that to one another yet.. and, I don't even know WHY I said it! He kept playing with my hair.. and said "What?" like he didn't hear me.. I just mumbled something in sleep talk about telling my mom I'd be there later...

We've been together for just over a month, and in the last month we've only spent 3 nights not together.. so things ARE moving really quickly, but still.. "I love you" is a BIG thing to say!

Should I pretend that I don't remember doing that? Do you think I freaked him out?!

I don't think it freaked him out. If that is how you feel, then say it. If he is scared off by a girl who says she loves him, then he must not want a relationship then. Isn't that the point of a relationship? That you have a relationship with the one you love and who loves you?

I think people getting scared of saying the big I LOVE YOU is silly. I used to feel the same way, until I realized how silly it was. My boyfriend hasn't said he loves me yet, but I say it all the time. I know he loves me because she shows it. He does things that let me know he loves and appreciates me.

Nothing is certain in life, marriages fail, and people who are never married can be together their whole lives. I say you should do what feels right for you :P

I wouldn't pretend it didn't happen though. He probably doesn't even pay much mind to it. He will more than likely be cool with it because it's a positive sign that you like him. So things between you two are good :)

i don't nkow if he hurd you thene talk to him again and if he didn't thene just make it stop theire so it is not such a huge thing I would like you to talk to him about it talking makes the relastionship stronger

something a friend said to me a while ago the first 15 minutes after you wake up should be forgiven because your brain is usually still half a sleep. It's possable he only heard mumbling but you heard it more clear because it is you talking.

I'm just wondering some of the silly rules that guys are not suppose to say it first but how will the girl know when it's right?

I guess it is supposed to be random, but I feel that it wasn't the right time! lol.. I would prefer to be coherent for it, and have it be a conscious choice to say it.. not just a reaction phrase to "have a good day".. ya know?

Guys are 100% supposed to say it first! Where did you ever get the idea that you shouldn't? I WOULD say it

well from TV shows if a guy says I love you first it either ends badly because she doesn't say it back or it causes unnecessary stress between them tell she's ready to say it back.

the 15 minute thing might not be accurate but that's what I was told. :)

what are you talking about. of ciurse womeb can/ should / DO say thise things first., no one is 'supoed'; to. you do it when it feels right.

Just accept how you feel. You'd feel it whether you said it or not. lying is good but saying I love you is bad? you did noting wrong. but the jdrama is annoying.

if you are not suposed to have feelings for him, then why are you with him.

It's only a big deal if you make it a big deal.

It seems to be a curiously American thing, that saying I love you is a major step in a relationship.
