I recall reading an article in Scientific American about how in a poll that was conducted, women identified themselves as believing more in various pseudoscientific areas than men with two exceptions; men tend to believe more in UFOs and cryptozoology (Bigfoot, Loch Ness monster, etc.) than women. Astrology was greatly overrepresented by women in terms of belief.
I think there are two possible explanations.
Firstly, astrology seems marketed towards women. The graphics and fonts are generally the same as what you see on romance novels and romcoms, which are also generally marketed to women.
Secondly, and this is a sad one, I often think that educators just don't expect skeptical thinking from girls. I was always mindful of this when I taught. Some of my finest math and science students were girls.
I think the evidence for astrology is terrible, hence I don't believe it. It is interesting from a historical perspective though. How various cultures saw the skies and the universe fascinates me. The Cheyenne people saw the Milky Way as a great stampede of buffalo. The Chinese thought it was a celestial river. The Indians believed it to be the source of the Ganges River. The Kalahari people believed it was the backbone holding up the sky. The Greeks, Roman's, and Babylonians all saw Venus as a goddess of love (Aphrodite, Venus, and Ishtar respectively), yet the Navajo called Venus "Coyote Star" and thought it was a trickster, the Mayans and Aztecs associated Venus with Quetzelcoatl, the hummingbird adversary of the sun! The Arabs saw Vega and Altair as a vulture and eagle respectively, yet the Chinese saw these stars as two celestial lovers, doomed to be eternally together yet always apart (except on the night of the seventh day of the seventh month when a bridge of birds would allow them to be together). The Greeks saw scorpio as, well, a scorpion and Orion's killer... why he's always setting when Scorpio is rising (he's running away). The polynesians saw scorpio as Maui's hook which he used to pull up the Hawaiian Islands and Orion was seen as a children's string game, like cats cradle. The Hawaiians strongly associated Arcturus with the Hawaiian Island chain (it passes directly overhead from Hawaii's latitude). They called the star Hokulea, which means "abundant joy." (God I love that) Yet the Greeks believed it to be the guardian of the Great Bear.
In a way, the night sky is a societal Rorschach test.

I treat it as fun. I don't believe in it - I laugh at the horoscopes.
I used to do a little speech about astrology - and at the end, I would hand out "personal" horoscopes based on everyone's sign. I'd get a reading of everyone - how accurate they thought it was. Most - usually around 90-95 percent would say it was one of the more accurate ones out there. Maybe there would be a holdout or two.
Then I'd have everyone pass their personal horoscope to the person to their left, and have them read it. Then pass again. It was all the same exact reading, but with the different signs at the top.
It is a type of pseudoscience. There's not any scientific evidence to support it. It can be fun to read about, but it's the sort of thing where all the descriptions are vague enough to be fitting for most people. An example would be saying a certain type is creative. Most people think they are creative and its not like there's a set standard of ranking for creativity so the it really fits most people.
I like it, I find it pretty funny and I started to ask everyone I meet about their sign haha
But I don't look into my horoscope at all, I don't really believe in that, but I do read a little here and there about signs, ascendant and moon thing and that's pretty much it

It's somewhat a deal breaker to me because I feel like these people could end up making dumb decisions because if my birthday, not to mention I have seen some of these people search of if they are compatible with that sign before making a move and I think that's just ridiculous
It's entertaining and quite funny to talk about each other from the lens of astrology, but I don't like horoscopes and shit like that, or people that make it a religion, I like to piss those people off, also as a nice frame of reference for life I'd rather take mbti tests
It's entertaining, but I don't take it seriously. If you're born on a certain day, you're a Libra, or Taurus, or whatever, but what if your mother, for some reason, decides to induce your birth a month early? You'd still be the same person, but you'd have a different astrological sign. It makes me question astrology's validity.
Before I answer this question, I have to check my horoscope and verify where Venus was the moment I was born... Hold on...
(Later...)
My horoscope told me that I don't believe in it but I should check tomorrow's horoscope in case the stars change my mind for me.I do not subscribe, despite anecdotal evidence to the contrary. One of the stereotypes into i which i too neatly fit is that of Capricorn. I absolutely loathe the truth of it. Here in California, a LOT of people, mostly women to your point, swear by that nonsense. I can immediately tune someone out when they start in on it.
I like it and think it’s cold but I hate when people use it for every goddamn thing😂. “I really like him but I’m gonna lookup his birth chart because if we’re not compatible then I can’t be bothered” is what my friend has said to me time and time again. I hate people that use their star sign for excuses like “I’m a bitch because I’m a Leo” no ur just a bitch. Other then that I like it. I just can’t stand when people act like it’s the end all be all.
everyone who considers astrology seriously is a retard. like yeah sure if you think it's funny and you get a kick out of it, that's fine. but if you consider it like a serious science that you use to make any sort of meaningful life decisions, then what i first says applies.
I have Ad Astra Per Aspera tattood on my arm as a symbolic reminder of the dream behind Apollo 1, the idea of transporting life from this planet to the next, before the power of the sun goes out. We have millions of years to figure it out or wipe our own kind out.

So me and the kid who was born at the same hospital less than 10 minutes after I was born are going to have the same personality because of the stars and planets? Sounds like happy horseshit to me!
It's basically a sanitised form of divination. Not really witchcraft, or the occult, though does borrow heavily from it's symbols.
But few people into that shit know enough about it past the sanitized window washing.
I love cosmological documentaries! Stars are the ultimate aesthetic and Stardust flows in our veins!
I think zodiac is bs. When I tell guys that, they say that's a typical Aquarius woman.
I find it stupid if someone actually believes it for real, but someone just does something like a Buzzfeed quiz for fun based off of it without taking it seriously, then that's fine.
It definitely works for some things for some people, but not for everyone with everything. I know a little about it, found some interesting things, but don't obsess over it at all.
I don't think it has any impact on our daily lives. It's a pretty innocent thing to believe in so it doesn't bother me if people choose to believe in it. I feel like most people who look into it don't take it super seriously.
I find it fun to look up but I don’t 100% believe in it or base my decisions off of it
but if you look up your whole chart, some of it is scarily accurate
I don't believe but I must say it's fascinating.
Astrology or Tarot Cards, they are both under the same category of a pure scam and stupidity.
None of those fit. I don't think it's "stupid", but I think a person is incredible foolish to put too much belief in how they can affect your life and decisions.
It's an interest of mine, but not one I take to heart.
Kinda find it ridiculous and people should't take it very seriously, but it can still be fun to look at sometimes
