There is a negative stereotype that men are slower to grow up and mature when it comes to how they treat the opposite gender.

Personally I know I think and react differently towards women in general compared to how I was in my teens and early 20s. I am more careful about the comments I make, refrain better from starring too long (if she’s attractive), I communicate better if I am interested or not, I make better thought out decisions and I handle rejection better (and reject others better) compared to the younger version of myself

I also know most women hate the feeling of “being used and/or lied to for sex.” If it’s a hook up or fling I’ll be open about my true intentions even if it costs me want. Not to say I was a liar when I was younger. But years ago I would stay tight lipped if I just wanted one thing when the other girl was thinking we would get in a relationship. In retrospect I recognize that was wrong. Nowadays I don’t give false hope.

That of course doesn’t mean I’m perfect. I will continue to make mistakes. However I am more cognizant of how the other gender thinks now. I also am less likely to get caught off guard if a bad gut sense about something.

With that said I’ve have unfortunately encountered a lot of grown ass women in their 30s and even older that still show blatant immaturity. The worse example is how some of them still play dumb if a guy is interested (and woman isn’t) to exploit the friéndzone for attention and benefits.

I would think a grown woman would know better than to do that. It’s not a sex issue but a respect issue. The guy has only so much time, resources and patience to stick his neck out.

He can handle rejection but being friendzoned is extremely insulting. He will usually figure it out faster than a young man and when he does he will feel exploited.

Just meeting older woman who still believe in this crap is insane.

My girlfriend Amber doesn’t let me see her naked anymore, but let’s everyone else see her naked. For example, she walks around naked at night in her living with lights on. Not caring that people outside can see her. The moment I come upstairs she rushes to put on a towel so I don’t see her naked. When she goes swimming with her friend Sadie she changes at Sadie’s house with the door open….. letting everyone see her fully nude. Sadie’s husband and son make jokes about it when when they’re get drunk.

My and Amber have been together for 2 years. We’ve struggled with our sexuality for most of the time. I’ve been on this site before discussing our issues. She never wants sex and dick teases me to only give it up once a month. She always flashes her breasts at me and says “I’m the hottest woman you’ll ever see, and you’re getting none”. I tried to sit down and talk to her about our sex life and how I don’t like how she’s dick teasing me. She got so angry that she broke up with me.

We got back together soon after. When we got back together she said “if you think I’m dick teasing then you won’t see me naked ever”.

So now I’m in a sexless relationship and I never see her naked. I’m emotionally attached to Amber and I’m really attracted to her. It’s hard to leave her. I feel like she’s the best I’ll ever get. It’s gonna near impossible for me to find a new girlfriend at this point. I live with my parents at nearly 35, I only make $24/hour, I’m 5k in debt, and I don’t have any intelligence.

Amber really wants to get married. She told me if I don’t purpose to her by fall she’s going leave me for good. I know I can’t marry Amber but I’m terrified of loosing her. I don’t want anyone else but her. I tried dating other women due our break up and I was still thinking about Amber. These women weren’t really into me. They just liked me for my dick size.

Here is my opinion. Getting rid of that the downvote/dislike feature has really watered down the experience when reading comments about other peoples opinions.

You just don’t know which comments are more unpopular when it comes to controversial questions and takes. Seeing unpopular comments gives you a better idea of what is popular.

I have posted unpopular opinions in past that were disliked by multiple people. Whoop te do. It happens. I didn’t lose sleep over it and anybody who feels “heartbroken” over being downvoted really doesn’t belong on GAG. It isn’t “bullying” to dislike a comment. So what if people didn’t like my opinion but at least I knew it wasn’t popular.

Also people get in heated debates all the time on here. What do you expect when you bring up often controversial issues about relationships, dating, sex, politics, etc?

I still don’t know why GAG decided to do this. It’s such weak tea and really takes away from the user experience.
