These are very selective photos that do not tell the whole story of anything. I was lucky enough to have travelled to Italy (after Trump was elected so nice try). And despite having armed soldiers all over the place I felt safer then I do in many North American cities. Germany gets picked on a lot so we will start with them. In 2017 it was claimed that Germany's crime rate had skyrocketed due to the influx of migrants. Sounds scary right? Too bad the crime figures in Germany don't support that at all. In fact Germany's crime rate was at a 30 year low in 2017, crimes committed by foreigners was also down. What we as critical thinkers have to remember is sensationalism sells and nostalgia warps the brain. A North American example of this is how many parents are convinced that their child is more likely to be kidnapped then they were, which was blatantly untrue. But kidnappings sell newspapers and cause worried parents to tune into news stations. Kidnappings weren't running rampant, she was just oversaturated with the stories. It's the same thing with Migrant Crime.

No, they were not. And they didn't hate the Jews, especially since the state of Israel hadn't actually come into being yet. Arabs were on Hitler's list, too, and they knew that. They never sided with Hitler. Rather, they were resisting the Balfour Declaration and the British, based on past performance over the previous 20 years. But that is nowhere near the same as siding with Hitler. Across Africa, the Arab Muslims were WITH the British and American forces (but not the French) because it meant the promise of independence from Italian and French and German occupation.

They were a big part of the British Army for a couple of hundred years (so, involved in the Napoleonic wars). Then there was independence and then there were The Troubles.
In between, 50,000 of them volunteered to fight the Nazis.
They're bloody complicated!

The war of independence and the troubles weren't big land wars.
Over 200,000 Irishmen fought in the ww1 in several theatres and either 30,000, or, if one includes those who died serving in armies other than Britain's, 49,400 died. When you consider the small size of the population of Ireland and compare the loses to Canada 61,000 and 62,000 for Australia you realise how many it was.
The Irish also fought for the British in the Boer war and also for the boers against the British.

True but the Easter rising happened in 1916. After the Irish war of independence was the Irish civil war. The Irish at one time invaded Canada.
Historically before the Vikings came the Irish invaded England and once ruled half of Scotland which is why Gaelic is spoken in the highlands.
Thousands of Irish (rep of Ireland born and NI catholics) have served in the British military since ww2 espicially in royal Irish regiment, thanks to the peace in the north and the economic crash there hasn't been this many Irish men in the British military since WW2. The Irish of course have their own military but it's actually very difficult to get into due to the competition as it's very small and members are very well paid, well educated, well trained and very fit.
The troubles were bad but not as bad as they could have been, there was some restraint unlike say in Bosnia.
