No. America doesn't give. Teachers the respect and wages they deserve. Which is typical. Even though teachers can influence a kid for their lifetime. in my opinion, teachers should be recognized over sports figures!
We are indoctrinated into society. They teach us nothing make us think we are smart for memorizing information that is useless. College is no different pay thousands for a piece of paper which may get you a job or may not. In school they tell you you can be anything you want to be but you really can't and they don't prepare you for life. They teach history that glorifies the country you come from and leaves out anything bad.
The United States spends more on education than the total GDP of many countries, yet trails them in results. Throwing more money at a flawed system obviously isn't the solution

Well, most money doesn't go to teachers or support staff. Plus I never said we should put more money in the system. I just wondered if America supports teachers. I wasn't referring to the government but really more so the public.
I didn't mean to imply that you said anything. Gov't is equal to public in this situation. I agree that a money doesn't reach teachers and the issue is public mismanagement.

At least in California, teachers are paid a lot and get great retirement that most private sector employees can not even dream of getting.
The only thing America supports is big companies and the 1%.
Lol as a whole aggregate? No, not at all. Source: I live here.
America is rigged PERIOD on whatever the government wants
America's society currently support corporations and making the rich richer.
Paid more for what though? They basically indoctrinate kids which keeps them down as adults. Really wtf does any of that matter in our adult lives?
What do you mean indoctrinate kids?

not as much as we should. they need to get paid more. they literally hold the future in their hands
I got screwed over by an American teacher in my high school
The United States spends far more per prisoner than we do per student.
That's fucking stupid.

Compare the US Postal Service to UPS or FedEx and you'll see that private industry is more efficient and effective
Government and public are not equal.
Public school is run by thr government
FedEx and USPS are not education therefore the comparison is invalid.
You're missing the point that government run programs are inferior to privatized industry
Who manages parks and roads if government and public are not equal?
With school shootings, they should be paid more thasn the president, or a young ceo
Some of them do and some of them don't.
It does.
When will people stop being greedy?
No..
