What is more selfish: having kids or not having kids?

I think its selfish to have kids because world doesn't need any more newborns, there are already way too much people on earth. Especially people from china, nigeria, india should stop bringing kids to poverty and suffering. We should help orphans instead of making new ones.

I think it's more down to personal opinions. For example I think my girlfriend thinks its selfish for me not to want kids. As I'm depriving her of that chance to prove she's a good mum.

On the other hand I think its selfish to have kids as she already has two with different dads and as a result of them and other factors we have a lot of stress in our lives without considering looking after a baby full time. Plus if things ever went badly between us I dont want that pressure or to end up as another statistic that she ends up single with 3 kids with 3 different dads.

I think unless your living in stable conditions it is very selfish. Why on earth would you bring a kid up in some place to only let it starve and gain diseases. Logic 101. In more stable conditions eh not really kinda don't matter there is your own choice to bring up a kid or not. And yes in overpopulated places like china and India would be unstable conditions. But it is also selfish to have a crying baby in a restaurant then them little things could happen which also make it selfish lol.

There are millions of kids in need of a good, safe home worldwide. Hundreds of thousands age out without ever knowing love. But you ignore them in favor of popping out yet another resource hoarding human because it shares your dna and it makes you feel better.

Yeah those countries are overpopulated but their are other countries that are not and should feel bad for having kids, in fact many countries are underproducing I just read a scientific article about it, like Germany.

I don’t think either option is selfish. I don’t think we need regulations regarding how many kids someone could have either. Population growth tends to be high in countries that haven’t made access to sex education, basic birth control, and abortion available, but ones that managed to deal with their mortality rate. To that end, I believe the adequate solution is to promote such programs in other countries, which begins by ensuring basic gender equality in aspects of social interaction, be it relationship, access to healthcare, access to education, access to jobs, etc.

I don't think either is selfish. Its just a preference people have. If having kids is selfish then we're all products of selfish people. If you want to have kids, the important thing is to be ready for it and be sure that you can raise them. Those who have kids but are not there for them, thats selfish.

Even if I would disagree with your point, I would still have to say yes. Humans will have kids because they choose to do so. They either choose to have kids or it was an exident but then decide to keep it. Both scenario's are a choise made by humans because they stand behind it. So yeah there is no way around this one

I think it's selfish to have kids when you're not ready to have them. Unless you got pregnant by being raped, but we all know that that's not selfish, that's just having a baby against your own will.

Anyways, yeah it's selfish to have kids when you're not ready to have them. A lot of parents do this though, considering the amount of dead beat dads and moms that are out there.

Neither is selfish. I would prefer to have children so one day when I have to live in a retirement home I know someone might come. Its only really selfish if you can't take care of yourself and try to bring children into the world knowing you either have no money or are irrisponsible.

Neither is selfish. I think the only time it is selfish is if you do have children and you neglect them. Whatever choice anyone takes, they should be fully supported as long as they have the means to take care of the children.
