Has any man ever given birth to a baby? (Some chick who declared herself to be a man but still has ovaries and a uterus does not count as a man.) Why do you need to be gender neutral when only women can give birth to a child?

Well let's see here.

Since I'm male at birth, I have no right to any say in the matter. But if I was female at birth and identified as male, I could have a say (maybe).

But, here's my opinion anyway. Let's have a go at it anyway and see what happens.

By just saying "birthing person" they are objectifying women. The one thing that women who are born female and identify as female are fighting against. A "birthing person" reads as nothing more than a incubator test tube needed for a gestation period.

What if instead we change the marks on every document that has genders to "birthing person" and "non-birthing person"?

Change this sites name to "Birthing Person Asks Non-Birthing Person"?

We can have birthing person toys and non-birthing person toys. Hell, we can even have birthing person and non-birthing person clothing department's in our stores.

To answer some of those questions, whether you would like to believe it or not, it is possible for a legally recognized male who was AFAB to give birth. Personal bias on how it should be doesn't make it right by those who have an understanding that things aren't as binary as you would like nor is your interpretation of it correct even by legal definitions.

Someone who was born AFAB but identifies as a man... is a man. He doesn't think he is a man. He just is.

Most mothers I know, and I do know a few, all agree. The female parent is "Mother", "Mom" "Mama" "Mutti", "Madre", "Mutter" or some variant of these. My own mother got her nose out of joint when I once called her "Maternal Parent". I would be somewhere in the middle - I think having a Mothers Day and a Fathers Day are unintentionally not inclusive say for single parents, families with two mothers and two fathers. I would scrap both of them and have a Parents Day.
