Would you have heard of it, if it hadn't been used by Fox to avoid reporting news?
Yes, I heard about it on a local radio station.
And it was reported in Newsweek, among others.

So it did. It also mentions: "Black birthing people are three to four times more likely to experience pregnancy-related death than their white counterparts, and they experience higher rates of pregnancy complications, infant loss, and miscarriage across the board."
But using an inclusive term for people who give birth, in the context of a bill called 'The Healthy Mommies Act,' and nothing particularly to do with mother's day is the important take-away.
(And, by the way, at least one person with XY chromosomes has given birth, so is there a genetic test for male/female?)
Do you have a cite for that last claim?
It's just to make the point that there's no clear, absolute biological line between males and females.

1. One person on India who is truly genetically "in between" is not a reason to change what we call Mother's Day.
2. I understand that you would like to change the topic of the discussion. I would not.
That was just the first example I came across, and the point was that there's no clear line where all people on one side are male, and the others are female.

Nah, a person can only have one biological mother unless you are a test tube baby or cloned. The rest are just caretakers, step mothers, or foster parents.

Often the birth mother is toxic and not interested in her child.

I checked their Twitter and they don't refer to Mother's Day as Birthing People's Day. That tweet exists but it's unrelated to Mother's Day. I assume they realize that transgender men who give birth probably wouldn't call themselves mothers

If a woman has a child and then wants to be a man, would she consider herself the child's father? Would she then celebrate Father's Day?
Would the birth certificate list her as the mother or the father? Wouldn't she always be the woman who gave birth to the child?

How does this question address lgbtqxyz rights? Mother's Day is a day to honor women who are mothers. The day is not designated as Only If You Have XX Chromosomes Day. If you have children and you are a father, then there is a day for you, too.

Are you aware of anyone who gave birth who was not a woman? And. . . if there is some strange person out there who managed to get both sets of chomosomes and they gave birth, it is still a day to honor anyone who gave birth to a child. We call them "mothers."
But you can call them BR249 if you want.
Actually many people give birth who do not identify as female, I do know a person who has, and you are right we do not call them mothers, which is why they now refer to the day as birthing peoples day :) if we call them “BR249” then they are not celebrated in this day and that is not being inclusive to the lgbtq+ community, so please just accept gender fluidity and other people of the lgbtq+ community, I get that you grew up with different norms but there is nothing wrong with changing to accept more people in our society and not celebrating one person over another based on these things :)

Also just thought I would mention your little rampage about your whole country without god thing.. My first reaction was to say we have a separation between church and state, which is true, but I also know that that will only make people who follow the Bible angry that the Bible is not being followed. So as I thought about it I realized a few things that are promising for the lgbtq+ communities, number one is that god says that we should accept and forgive all sinners no matter what, so if you are giving hate to the lgbtq+ communities aren’t you just contradicting what you are trying to help? Yes, yes you are. Number two, the Bible was written centuries ago before the lgbtq+ movements were a thing, you cannot expect the Bible to be the answer god would give, that is like stating women should not have any rights because our constitution says all men are to be treated equally, it just simply does not make since in modern day society. Number three, within lgbtq+ Christians, by using Bible verses known as “clobber texts” you are encouraging suicide and pushing them away from Christianity. Many lgbtq+ community members have a hard time coping with the beat down they are getting from people who will not accept change, when they hear these Bible verses attacking them, some are experiencing suicidal thoughts and that can lead to suicidal actions, by attacking them you are encouraging suicide which is a sin, or you are forcing them to drop Christianity. God is clear in the Bible that you should invite people into Christianity, so by doing this you are the ones who are sinners.
