Why I Love Red States
What do you love about living in a Red or Blue state?
Why I Love Red States
We have a republican governor, but I think Massachusetts still qualifies as a blue state. I don’t know, I love it here, wouldn’t want to live anywhere else (says me in July, ask me again in February😂). We have our share of low-class people...
https://www.youtube.com/embed/FSvNhxKJJyUhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/je1NIf8GeeY... but on the whole, most people are educated and fairly well-off. We currently are the second-wealthiest state in the country, and we live pretty well here.
I guess like Marge Simpson says around 2:17 or so, “Everyone here is so progressive! But not “stupid-progressive!””😂😂😂
So if you enjoy snobbery, which I believe I do, lmfao, Massachusetts’ haughty arms are wide open to you... if you make six-figures per year, that is😂😂😂
Howdy ma’am
Chillin’ to the point of near-villainy😎 How you livin’?
Red states - freedom and communism doesn’t have much sway.
Blue states - nothing to like unless you like tyranny.
Lol ever been to a blue state cause that’s not true, facts over feelings bud
I live behind the Iron Curtain in NY and have lived in CA buddy. I’ve lived in both NC and SC. It is profoundly true.
I’ve lived in California my whole life and have never experienced this “tyranny” you speak of
@SmokinAces2000 talking about tranny's again?
WowwGirl tf are you talking about 😂
@SmokinAces2000 Just joking from tyranny
@smoking
You have got to be kidding right? First of all they really go all out to get as many illegal immigrants in CA as possible. So putting foreign nationals who don’t pay taxes ahead of your own citizens who do is tyranny. A certain phrase comes to mind. Taxation without representation. That is tyranny when you’re state legislatures whom are supposed to be representing you are representing illegal immigrants instead.
Let’s talk gun control. NY and CA have the strictest gun control laws. Considering ANY infringement is ILLEGAL of this right that would be tyranny. The Supremacy clause of the Constitution states it is the supreme law of the land and NO state shall make laws that void what is said in the constitution. I find it interesting most red states have few laws regarding type of firearm, magazine capacity, and muzzle breaks and the like. Their law makers feel it is an infringement on personal liberty and violation of the Constitution to have those laws. Not CA though. CA has their state Supreme Court judges to “interpret” the Constitution. Really? I find it amazing that those judges in CA who do not throw out those laws on grounds of constitutionality have come to a COMPLETELY different conclusion then the men who wrote the Constitution. How do we know? Well the framers left behind numerous personal letters, political essays and speeches quoted in books and newspapers where they clearly identified the common man as the militia and clearly stated they wanted the militia armed. Why they even made a law mandating such. It was the Militia act of 1792 and 1793 respectively. That was federal law MANDATING every able bodied male own a rifle, bayonet, 30 rounds of ammo (musket balls), a knapsack and other pieces of military hardware. All of a sudden though CA judges “interpreted” the Constitution to mean the National Guard is the real militia (despite wearing U. S. Army on their uniforms and despite not meeting the criteria for a militia (they’re formally trained)
CA also takes “a well regulated militia” to mean a militia that is firmly under their control. That’s not what the framers meant by well regulated. They meant a militia that runs well. One that is well armed and equipped and trained.
“Interpreting” the Constitution in conjunction with an attempt to steal liberty from the American people is certainly tyranny.
I could literally write a book about the many tyrannies CA perpetuates on its citizens but I’ll just keep it to these 2 issues.
You perhaps do not see these things as tyrannical. I do. I have no interest in the state government I pay taxes to representing foreign nationals ahead of citizens and certainly am not interested in clever schemes to defraud the American populace of liberty nor do I have interest in men seeking to disarm the American citizen.
I served in the Marine Corps and deployed twice. I am shocked and horrified to see the same tyranny I fought against has made itself home here in the U. S. This is not what I fought for nor anyone I served with.
@wow
0ne of those? Constitutional carry laws you mean…which 25 of the 50 states now have?
CA does this because they can’t throw out the 2nd Amendment. They know it requires a vote of 2/3rds of the states in favor of repealing an amendment. They know 2A will never be repealed, so they just found a way “states rights” to make laws that subvert the Constitution and know damn well the Supreme Court of the U. S. is no longer hearing gun cases. This means no one can challenge the constitutionality of those state laws.
Meanwhile Smoking Aces here doesn’t think there’s any tyranny in CA, despite a clearly observable plan to trample on the rights of citizens. Oh, if the Supreme Court of the U. S. would only be willing to hear such a case it would be struck down in a heart beat. Several judges appointed by Trump to the 9th Circuit court of appeals threw out many gun bans in 2020 including a 30 year ban restricting magazine capacity. Interesting. Those Trump appointed judges managed to get it right. How come all the other judges appointed and answering to Sacramento couldn’t for the last 30 years?
www.npr.org/.../federal-appeals-court-throws-out-california-ban-on-large-capacity-gun-magazines
Exterminatore I personally own a gun and it wasn’t that hard for me to get and I don’t care about the strict gun laws because I’m not a crazy person that needs a million fricking guns that are all maxed out😂 and immigration doesn’t affect me either I have my own shit to worry about other than some people coming into this country and gun laws are not unconstitutional 😂 you can still get guns they just aren’t handing them out like candy, but you know what is unconstitutional red states promoting Christianity
Enjoy living in racist states

I'm currently living in a red state, however I've lived in several purple and one blue state in the past.
My thoughts currently living in a red state:
1) Lower Overall Cost of Living (including taxes, food, housing; although this can vary based on state/location/size). The purple states were usually mid range, but the blue state I lived in was definitely the highest in overall cost of living.
2) Freedom of/from Regulation varies on subject: Usually less restrictive on firearms, fireworks, etc... but seems to be more regulated on alcohol or consumable goods. (Where they can be sold, etc)
3) Friendlier from what I've seen. More open and inviting, just feels more natural and authentic, which is somewhat odd to me after growing up in a Purple state. Living in the blue state was somewhat similar to a purple, but it definitely seemed like people were more independent/to themselves, more friends for convenience if that makes any sense.
4) Better infrastructure/roads - Based on where I've lived so far. More often it seemed the purple states had some of the worst roads.
5) Fewer weird laws - Most seem to protect the current freedoms and limit further restriction in the red states. Most laws trying to be passed from Blue states recently seem to want to control/limit/restrict more in really weird ways. (Usually from California)
Overall though, besides the cost of living differences and taxes, I could live in either spot. Like everything, it really depends WHERE you are living in terms of city size more so than the state. Living in Chicago vs. Dallas vs. Denver vs. New York vs. Nashville all have unique experiences and challenges. All I really need to be happy is a low cost of living w. decent space and reliable internet. So pretty low needs tbh.
I don't give a damn what the political climate is where I live I like it there because it's where I want to be and has nothing to do with political association and why one who does live done where because of that is some one that needs to be kept a close watch on that's not normal, you move to a state for a job to be v close to family not a damn politician who cares nothing about you but how much was you last contributions, this is what's dividing this v country, it's not about the damn political party it's the person in that party, red blue, left right it's just a thing meaningless, it's those who x control it that makes it what it is, remind me of how far down WE come, when a gun maker or auto maker is responsible for their product being involved in a crime it's not the gun or the car is humans who is in control of them, no one I noticed wants to take responsibility for their own actions instead of it on, guy gets caught in video by a million witness, his response wasn't me, I don't know this is not America
They claim New York is a Blue State.. In many areas is redder than blood and a traffic light or stop sign. You will see an army of red hats and red flags. Where there is a concern and need for something by lets say 1000 people, that need is overshadowed by 500 people who are misguided and blind redhat and red shirt people (example: 10,000 people complain about building on wetlands. The area is protected by wildlife indicative to the area, such as a type of plant or bird which is only in that area or habitat). You now have 11,000 who claim that there is a necessity for it (while the same building area can be build 4 miles up the road, easily accessed and has an abandoned structures - both commercial and residential use - but you chose to do it because you put "donations" in the coffers for the reelection for the person who supports the redhat movement #sorrynotsorry #biteme
There are pros and cons to both. Red states are typically better with gun rights, religious freedom, lower taxes, and less regulation. Blue states are better with civil rights and equality, voting rights, labor rights, investing in education and infrastructure, etc. It depends on what you personally value the most.
From that description it says that red states are more self centered and blue states can care about others not just themselves
@LoveIsFake They embrace everything but masculinity and guns others have boundaries
The fact that i can carry a gun without going to prison for it. The fact that for covid, did not completely shut down. and as a result we bounced back quickly. The fact that we value self defense and protecting others over feelings and politics. The fact that i can speak my mind here and not risk losing my job or my life. The fact that BLM terrorists are afraid of coming here.
forgot to mention, we have a democrat governor, but the entire state saver for 4 counties is red.
All that and no mention of what fucking state u're talking about🤨
Cause I'm not doxing my self. It's a Midwest state which is very red.
None of your business is what state @Omario2049
I live in a purple state and it sucks, especially as a state worker. Constant political gridlock, haven’t had a state budget in 3 years.
Constant infighting and I’m tired of Presidents coming and making my city a traffic nightmare constantly because we’re a crucial swing state. Which also means election season is one long nightmare of political ads on TV, radio, and in the mail.
I'm a democrat and I work physical labor Soo I don't know where you got that one from. Anyways back to the question. Things I like about living in a blue state is
1.) People are more open minded when it comes to talking about controversial topics and in general
2.) Everyone respects each other no matter the difference of income, religion, and background
3.) Everyone for the most part is independent
Theirs a few more but these are all that come to mind at the moment
Kids in school don't get brainwashed in blue states, either. But in red states the adults certianly do..
For example, the "holding the door open" thing is, believe it or not, something that happens all the time in blue states as well. But red states try to brainwash their adults into thinking otherwise - apparantly with a degree of success that's frankly baffling..
Yeah, that's the sort of narrative the far right fake news tries to brainwash its viewers with, but if you took the time to meet then democrats in your state youd find the do not, in fact, act like "illiberal commiefacists." Eventually, you might even come to realize the reason the far right fake news spins that narrative is specifically to keep you from talking to the democrats and to make it impossible for them to talk to you.
The Right isn't moving right, it's the left that's moving far left to the point of supporting pedos and openly support violently attacks against people to get there way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YagXlideUJk
The right is definitely moving right. The violent insurrection attempt proved that, and the brainwashing of its base into believing that, despite their increasingly open support for the violent insurrection, it's actually the left that is openly supporting violence would make it obvious to any impartial observer.
yet there is never media cover condemning when a left wing group of extremists attack the right and center. The "insurrection" was just the Reichstag for the left wing extremes supporters to point and say " no is the right" sure a few moron where tricked into a doing something dumb. But it's the left wing extremists that are the real ideologues who support violence to achieve dominance. The difference is the right doesn't hide it, and doesn't defend them, morons or not.
Oh, of course there is condemnation of left wing extremists. It just doesn't happen nearly as often. That's the problem with false equivalence: it's false.
But I see you've successfully taken on the mocking rhetoric of the rest of the far right fake news - brainwashed into downplaying an attempt to overthrow democracy in the U. S. just so you could get someone who makes you feel like you're reasons for hating strangers are valid.
lol it was one lame attempt to overthrow democracy in the U. S. It was a bunch of un armed 60 year olds. The worse thing they did was shout threats, which is the reason I think the event was very bad for the Imagine of Republican. Any ways there is easily a dozen or move attack on republicans I've seen by organized mobs of left wing terrorists.
Yeah, that's exactly the fake talking point in the far right fake news. They were seemed. It was much more than shout threats. But, as I guessed, you're been brainwashed into downplaying it. I'm just surprised you haven't blurted out some nonsense about anti fascists or BLM protestors.
And of course if you only watch the far right fake news they are only going to show you fake attacks from the left. Who do you imagine would tell you about attacks from the right when they happen? They only reason you even know about the insurrection is because it was caught live.
Exactly.
Though it is a weird lie of the far right to claim the left doesn't have guns. My suspicion is it's just an inevitable consequence of their snake oil salesman roots. They genuinely believe they can't sell more guns unless they convince people that someone is going to take them away. So when the left says maybe background checks aren't such a bad idea, the gun sellers jump on it as a fresh chance to push the message that they want to take all guns away. This gives people the impression that there are more Republican gun owners than democratic gun owners, which is almost certianly untrue.
Virtually every metric shows that life is better in red states.
Blue states have Support for women’s rights and LGTBQ rights
OTOH Red states have hot guys with guns 😊
😊😊😊
I simply support equal rights for all, not any movements. Red states also have most school shooters
Democrats are lining up to be vaccinated, so in a couple of years most of them will be dead.
Within 20 years, they will all be dead.
I live in a blue state… the kool-aid flows freely here.
Especially the metropolitan dwellers… Like a damn bee colony.
Absolutely. Which is why I avoid those places.
Weird is blue normal.
Whacky is the order of the day here. :p
Yeah, I don't see much of a difference really. I lived in Arkansas for a time, I guess one thing could be that I couldn't access things like a Somalian restaurant or a Moroccan club or hang out for an evening at a salsa bar all within the same week.
But that isn't something that is supposed to be political. I don't know. Politics in the U. S is so damn weird now. It was good to get away to a sane place for a couple of weeks.
I'm in Pennsylvania, which usually goes blue, but in the area I'm, it's red. The Representative in my district has his head firmly up Trump's ass, but there's no getting rid of him. Nobody's real hostile here, but I noticed that all the voter registration tables are Republican.
It's times like this I wish I was more up on US Politics.
I see, thank you for the lesson. Sounds like I would choose blue then. Not because I would choose to own a gun. I wouldn't, or that I would choose to be gay. I wouldn't, but I do believe in being able to make my own choices in life.
Good answer :P
Well, I live in Pennsylvania a Blue state but every day there are shootings, Pittsburgh Pa is bad, Philly Pa no too safe... I live 20-30 Miles South of Pittsburgh Pa but we live where small Cities surround us such as Donora Pa.. We got remember that Pennsylvania flipped to Trump come 2016 but back to the Democrats come 2020
I'd love to answer your question and usually you'd be hit with something so insightful and intelligent you'd realise what a fantastic random internet friend you have but for the next 24 hours I'm so nervous all I can answer is I hope it's coming home...

Tennessee... the freedoms that aren't infringed upon and will never be
Howdy
Yikes , down here it's not that bad except at midday around 85 , raining evening and nighttime
I like the fact that we only live a few miles away from the border of the nearest RED state, in case we have to move out of our BLUE state
The thing I like most about living in a blue state is the angry glares I get when I drive around with a Trump sticker on my pickup truck.
Some guy thought it would be good to do a Trump parade downtown with a few of his friends. It ended in a reck and one shot.
@bannacookies: Yeah, well, I wouldn't advise anyone to do that
@bannacookies that is horrible
Yes. It was terrible and those that were opposed to him took it way out of hand.
@bannacookies A woman followed me into the dump one Saturday. I was driving down the street minding my own business and she started honking at me. I gave her a big wave because when people see the Trump sticker they usually honk and give me the thumbs up. She was not amused apparently. When I got out of my truck she started yelling at me, calling me a nazi and insulting the president. I just laughed but the cool thing was that most of the other people at the dump laughed at her too.
