Is it a little weird for a stranger to ask me if my child is in daycare yet?

I was doing laundry in my apartment complex with my toddler. A lady I’ve never seen before then says “oh is she in daycare yet” in my mind I’m like huh bitch who are you? Then I ask her why she asked and she says “oh I have a nephew that age” the bitch is a weirdo in my eyes. Ironically she’s Asian like the neighbors who lives under me (I do not like them and I think my 2 year old being a normal baby bothers them) and by the way their son is 2 years old. I feel as if she knows them and was asking for them.

If you told her yes she just would have asked more questions. And from that information he could be kidnapped. Plus they might be watching when you come and go in your apartment.
