Do you support the idea of “Reparations Payments” being given to eligible Black persons “to atone for centuries of slavery & systemic racism” (& WHY)? (Page 3)
If the mantra for American Blacks is, it is not your fault that you did not succeed. You are being told lies and you will never free your mind. You are stuck on a plantation in your own head.
That’s fair but let’s just be honest. It is generally true that most blacks alive today in America think they are the victims of perpetual and on going racism.
They typically act as if everywhere in America currently is like the movie Mississippi Burning.
It simply isn’t true. There is a hypersensitivity to racism in America, not the open engaging in it.
It is also generally true American blacks want to blame systematic racism and slavery and that the sun didn’t shine and that they stepped in bubble gum and every other problem they typically face as an entire group on racism. The reality is they are responsible for themselves and their lives and choices and this racism boogeyman is just that. It has not been a major factor for the majority of them for at least 40 years, probably longer.
@noohair is exactly right. American blacks constant reenforce to each other…slavery…racism…. Jim Crow over and over to the point they believe they are persecuted when in fact they are not. It’s typically just as noohair said. They live in a plantation in their heads.
There are things in all areas of life that are generally true and there are exceptions to every rule. In this case what he is saying is generally true.

And it’s not our guilt for christsake. It’s our government saying “sorry”, which it never did. And by the way, it’ll be an economic boon to give free college tuition to blacks, or business loans…etc.

What do you mean by saying this?….
“it’ll be an economic boon to give free college tuition to blacks, or business loans…etc.”
…do you mean “economic bust” INSTEAD of “economic boon”?
FYI: In a reply to a 30-35 Pink Anon’s opinion in the following question…
“Another reason to oppose [President Biden's student-loan forgiveness plan] is directly related to education…This ‘free thing’ has just made college more expensive [because college tuitions will rise because there’s incentive for schools to raise their rates]”
There is no such things as“free money” — someone always pays for “free money” that is given away and NOT paid back through loan payments (which would also generate interest payments paid back to the money loaner in addition to the principal amount loaned).
@Exterminatore documentation is only 4 to 5 generations you can be black but you can't have the same blood of a slave descendant, just like a man who wants to be a women will never have the same chromosomes.
If you have asked me this question 20 years ago I wouldn't be opposed to it. SF has progressed so much it is unnecessary today. If they replaced Black with White it would absolutely be considered controversial by the media.
"Those criteria include being born in or migrating to San Francisco between 1940 and 1996 and living in the city for least 13 years; being displaced from the city by urban renewal between 1954 and 1973, or the descendant of someone who was; attending the city's public schools before they were fully desegregated; or being a descendant of an enslaved person."
Sure it does…should all American people’s tax money be directed to pay for reparations—even Black people’s tax money (or just White people’s tax money)?

2 blacks on my job told me I owe them. I said you get paid just like me it about your life live by not slavery.
I want to know why it's always about this carpand not about sexual slaves so black people you owe them
I have no idea what you’re saying in your second paragraph.
No that’s silly, every race has been a slave at some point in time, this generation has nothing to do with it and that’s the place it’s coming from
Pretty sure reparations were paid with the Black Panther movie...
American Black folks live on a plantation that is in their own head. Money can't fix that.
I’m not sure what that means.
Plus, “everyone’s different” — NOT everyone of ANY group thinks or does things or likes things the same way.
If the mantra for American Blacks is, it is not your fault that you did not succeed. You are being told lies and you will never free your mind. You are stuck on a plantation in your own head.
As I previously said: “everyone’s different” — NOT everyone of ANY group thinks [etc.] the same way.
@nohair
That is typically true and live in a world in their head that is surrounded by racism, and a KKK member is hiding behind every bush.
@gagname
I think he’s speaking generally and what he is saying is generally true.
@Exterminatore
I just think it’s not right to generalize (stereotype) people.

@Exterminatore
Thanks for replying w your thoughts.
@gagname
You’re welcome and thank you for being so polite and fair and balanced as we discuss this ongoing and ever divisive issue.
@Exterminatore
You’re welcome. Humans should be humane…right?
@Gagname
Yes sir, they should. But how often is it people can actually have differences of political opinion without name calling, slander and fits of anger.
It really ought not be that way, adults should be able to discuss these things rationally without all that, but that seems to seldom happen.
Slaves should pay us to atone for years of rebellion.
Thousands died setting them free. That’s their reparations
slavery was generations ago. They need to forget about it.
Yes, because it will absolutely fuck up the demon known as the Economy.
And it’s not our guilt for christsake. It’s our government saying “sorry”, which it never did. And by the way, it’ll be an economic boon to give free college tuition to blacks, or business loans…etc.

Do you Support or Oppose President Biden's student-loan forgiveness plan? ↗
…I state the following…
“Another reason to oppose [President Biden's student-loan forgiveness plan] is directly related to education…This ‘free thing’ has just made college more expensive [because college tuitions will rise because there’s incentive for schools to raise their rates]”
Concerning California and slavery & reparations, California has always been a “free state”: slavery has NOT existed in California.
It’s our federal govt saying sorry. And yes, economic boon. It’s classic economics 101, which I have no time to teach you.
Sounds like you learned “funny math/economics”…

Absolutely not. I've never had a slave :/
If they gonna pay me I'm taking it
Which answer-option letter did you select in this question’s poll?
Hell yeah they can pay me
Hell yeah, if they are gonna pay, I will "identify" as black as well.
@KrakenAttackin good luck cause it has to be proven I am 4th generation that's an easy way to prove I am a descendant.
If men can identify as women, I’m identifying as black. I want my payments and a penis enlargement to match my new black identity.
@Exterminatore documentation is only 4 to 5 generations you can be black but you can't have the same blood of a slave descendant, just like a man who wants to be a women will never have the same chromosomes.
Damn…. there goes my scheme to get an even bigger penis.
Only if they are Republicans

damn right i do.
Per UPDATE 1, why do you support this?
because black people were sold like cattle. and that was wrong. they are owed money because they are now citizens.
Those people are dead; and so are those slave-traders & slave-owners.
Why should anyone today who was not involved in the slave trade be penalized and pay reparations through their taxes?
because they are descendants who still suffer today due to it.
Who should pay for those reparations?
the American government.
The American government’s money comes from US taxpayers. So which US taxpayer’s tax money should be used to pay for reparations?
thats a silly question that doesn't make much sense.
Sure it does…should all American people’s tax money be directed to pay for reparations—even Black people’s tax money (or just White people’s tax money)?
i dont think there's a way to separate the tax money like that lol.
…or all non-Black people’s tax money (including Asians)?
dude i have no idea what you're even talking about lol.
Ok. Lol
And it’s not “dude,” it’s “Gagname” 😉
thats weird.
