So I admit I have something of a bias towards women because i feel like many women don't appreciate the societal power they hold. While its true that women are still held to lower expectations due to a variety of things, it also means that they can do and get away with stuff men wouldn't even consider.
This is a prime example and I'll try to make this as PG as i can.
Several months ago a female teacher in texas was caught having an... inappropriate relationship with her male student for 3 years ever since he was 10. Effectively grooming him. And how many years in jail to you think she got? 10? 5? 20?
NO... this woman got 60 days.
Groomed a minor for 3 years... get 2 months in jail with a lot of people even going so far as to say they envied the boy.
And it's stuff like this that gets me asking, if a woman can get a slap on the wrist for something this heinous... what WILL get them in deep trouble?
What Girls Said
Christopher Belter - 0 days in jail/8 months probation
Brock Turner - 6 months in jail
Jacob Walter Anderson - $400 fine and counseling
Owen Labrie- 1 year
The point is, rape is a terrible comparison as white men get off easy as well. Rape on the whole only gets convictions in less than 1% of cases.
You only notice women getting away with things you want to be able to do and not notice the things men get away with in return.
Why, why and why? I was under the assumption that if a man does something like that they'd be tarred and feathered before the week was through.
Because rape on the whole is grossly under reported and under convicted.
Man or woman, rape is a serious crime and both should be treated equally in criminal sentencing (harshly). Not just let off with a slap on the wrist
With how horribly people view rape you would think it would be more critically punished even if it was biased
That’s a question you need to ask judges who impose sentences.
It's not surprising when you worship white women so much as a white man.
ouch harsh
