The problem with the short sightedness of people saying they don't need men in this world is laughable at best and truly horrifying at worst.

For example about 96% of garbagemen are made up of men so if men didn't exist or decided to stop pursuing this line of work well hope people enjoy all that garbage piling up. Also about 96% of nuclear reactor operators are men so whatever energy they produce will be lost in their absence or at worst meltdown. What about construction, those who work in trades or those who are plumbers, electricians, mechanics, etc. You start to see how jobs men do that keep many societies functioning and infrastructure running and up to date that people take for granted would create massive waves of negative impacts across the world.

But, I know there might be some that miss the point of the above example saying well we don't mean ALL men just bad ones we don't like and if they are useful we tolerate them. This is also short sighted not considering the future ramifications. People who air these grievances usually have a very limited worldview or understanding of history. It can go back to that classic quote: “Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”

Really it echoes true if your society has ushered in many humanitarian rights, advances and a better way of life for its citizens compared to other places in the world it would be a great benefit to preserve it and protect it. Because if all or the majority of men in a society are weak willed, overly emotional in critical situations, become a deer in headlights at danger or confrontation, roll over when leaders strip freedoms bit by bit from their lives then guess what your society will start to be taken over by men that are far worse then any of these people's nightmare scenarios of men could ever be.

They are unaware what it is like to live under a true religious theocracy, dictatorship or communist nation. They often forget the truly incredible detail they live in a nation where they can speak their mind and instead of exercising clarity of hey there are problems here but the ideas of free speech and expression make it worth protecting. They often get in the mindset of lets tear the whole thing down and splinter it that won't make us weak or more susceptible to be conquered by insidious nations that are human rights dystopian nightmares because surley that won't happen to us.

Point being the world does need Men in more ways then one. Our existence, our future and our entire understanding of life requires Men in the equation. And I hope if people have this mindset or are along these lines of thinking get better perspective without a truly horrific disaster or irreversible change serving as their wake up call. At least that's my two cents hopefully it helps!

@trellbrown84 I get what you're saying but I believe from what I have learned about powers that be from history and the last 20-25 years is that when a freedom or right is rolled back those powers grasp onto it with a death grip. If we just allow everything to collapse it won't be those on top that suffer they have connections and resources to pick up shop and leave causing us regular folks to suffer further; our kids, grandkids, our folks, our grandparents, our friends and our neighbors. I want those who aim to harm us or sell us out replaced but collapsing the system I fear would strip us of so many iron clad fundamental rights as powers that be often due in times of panic and crisis.

I know that many women lack perspective of the future or the bigger picture and as just one individual it appears like we can't do much but if we can better ourselves, find those relationships that can build something better and teach our children/the next generation strength, morals and values then we can make a difference doing what is within our power and with that hopefully others see this or have similar mindsets to do it as well. There are of course other things individuals can do but I believe this is a strong positive step in the right direction. But, that is just my mindset we all have our pasts, our stories and challenges but I believe my perspective has some sense in its foundation.

@JordanianNumetal Yeah sometimes it feels that way like the inmates are running the asylums and common sense is being tossed aside I believe there are many factors that contribute to this. But, at the same time though I have had my dark days or feelings of lost hope or despair through either personal issues/loss or wider reaching issues that occur today or are on that horizon tomorrow I still try to keep moving forward and hold onto my belief and hope that things can get better. I consider people's stories who grew up in horrific conditions or had a raw deal in life since day one and by all reasons should be angry or awful people but yet they didn't let those terrible things they went through shape them to become something worse in response. So that is one method or outlook I have that helps me through some hard times or times when I think my opinions might fall on deaf ears. That hey if they held onto who they were maybe I can do the same.

At least that's what I think maybe I can't change minds but if I can get even a few people to reconsider or question certain things they hold to their chests that they refuse to come under scrutiny often then maybe something good can come from it. That is where I am at now at least in my mindset for the most part.

You also seem to have a very misinformed view of feminism.

Feminism is about demanding the same respect afforded to any man for their value to society. These may be different roles or strengths, but they do not deserve subjugation, bullying or being treated as inferior if they can bring something to the table. If your role is to be a "housewife and mother" for "big heavy-lifting men" that does not equal "men are more important and you should be subjected to rape/dominance/slavery because they're physically stronger."

It is a civil rights matter. People do not deserve to be slaves or treated as "less" for what body parts they are born with any more than what color their skin or nation of their birth. If they can do the work, are capable of thinking and doing work to contribute to society (whatever that is) they demand respect and equality, simple as that.

If you have no ambitions beyond housewife, I respect your right to that, but I do not condone trying to force everyone else to conform to YOUR ideals and believe everyone should have the opportunity to follow THEIR dreams and ambitions. That is feminism.

The fact that you feel you have the right to impose your rights on someone else is oddly a privilege you enjoy because of feminism. However, there is a reluctance to adopt many conveniences of modern technology among them, which is not exactly a good thing considering how fast the world is progressing. Soon AI will be able to grant you with so much information, helping you do daily stuff, calculate your expenses along with everything else.
