Being compassionate towards foreigners would involve making the immigration process easier, not getting rid of it entirely!

I believe that was not the way the constitution should have been interpreted in the first place. The federal constitution never says that a state gives up its right to protect its boarders, just that the federal government has the responsibility to protect the countries boarder. This over lap of jurisdiction does not mean the states have to take in an invasion. It just means both states are supposed to work together.

Therefore it is my belief that by fighting against Texas's efforts, the federal government is the one in violation of the constitution. (Not the first time but thats beside the point.)

There are many things that the federal government tries to do that falls under the 10th amendment.(states rights)

There are also many things that both levels of government try to do that violates the amendments in the bill of rights. Namely, the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 8th, for starters.


I think this is going to come down to the Will Of The People.

Sadly the Constitution seems like a set of very loose guidelines that is only set in place to make the subjects of this tyranny feel more complacent and comfortable. I genuinely do not believe that this jurisdictional dispute over the border in Texas is a fight that the federal government can win. And if it comes to that, According to the 2008 Red vs Blue Report that Obama put out, they won't. Its a matter of if, not when they lose.

At the end of the day, a country needs to have protected borders. It needs to be able to exhert control over who comes in and use that control for the betterment of the economy.
