I will provide somewhat of a summary since the video is longer.

The Democrats lied about the big switch and the Dixiecrats firmly stayed in their party. The Southern United States moving to the Republican party actually made them less racist. The reason why the Democrats are perceived as being less racist is because they bought off votes with the New Deal.

Remember, Joe Biden was a segregationist who called interracial schools "racial jungles."

The reality is that if you went to the Graves of a Confederate and a Yankee and brought them back from the dead, then asked them if children can consent to having their genitals mutilated, they'd both scream in horror "WHAT THE F*CK IS WRONG WITH YOU!" Ask them any other questions pertaining to the democratic party, and their response will almost certainly be the same. They were both quite conservative compared to today, as was every generation prior, and after, until the hippies came along and turned half of the country "democrats" into insane lunatics who broke the political compass.

Firstly, you right wingers seem to love criminals as information sources. Maybe question their statements as they have a prison record.

Second, political party names is the dumbest argument you could make. The founding of both parties were the Democratic Republican Party to stand up to the Whigs.

Maybe take an interest in todays politics and see which side is more racist.

That was interesting. I actually wasn't aware of those facts.

I regards to the Democratic party being racist, LBJ was racist as all get out, but he signed the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts because he was an astute politician. First, he saw the writing on the wall when it came to public support for ending segregation. Second, he did it to make "black" voters loyal Democrats. He thought blacks were stupid and wouldn't notice segregationist Democrats like Strom Thurmond, George Wallace and others.

Many whites who actively campaigned to end segregation were FDR and JFK Democrats. What I didn't realize at the time was, many of those who brutalized blacks during the lunch counter strikes and harassed the first black children to attend formerly segregated schools were Democrats. I had been under the impression that those racists had been Republican.

I dunno. One thing that’s for sure is that the black and white story (pun intended) either side likes to paint of the whole issue is inaccurate. Another not commonly known fact is that our two parties were literally one party at one point, though in practice they still are.
