Rockefeller made no attempt to hide it. When he used his fortune to buy the education system every Western country is designed around it was because he didn't want a nation capable of independent thought. He wanted workers.
Independent thinkers wouldn't move to cities to find "security". They understand that there's no security in money that a government can declare worthless overnight. Real security is in having a supply of water nobody can take away, a supply of food you don't have to pay for because you grew it yourself or raised it and a shelter that allows you to stay dry when it rains, cool when it's hot and warm when it's cold. That's security. Not a 7 figure savings account.
Carlin made people think. He made them open their minds for a second. Then they'd go home, put on CNN and stop thinking and let someone else do that for them.
I never really appreciated him when he was alive but he really was ahead of his time. What he says I'd true. Education is going downhill for decades and when we had covid it is in free fall The teachers union has always been a big Democrat donor. Biden reversed all the improvements President Trump made to the education system. Zoom on a laptop for an hour now counts as a school day.

Yes and no. Education system does suck at testing. But it also is a CLEAR marker of predicting whether a child will be in the middle class or near poverty.
