Not always is it possible to find the right balance between the two. We have to work long hours, the easier way isn't always possible and a lot of us tend to become workaholics because of the things we want and need to achieve. So how easy is it for you to find a balance? And do you think working smarter is something that can be achieved all the time overriding working harder?

Definitely work smarter if I can. There are times where you just can't avoid working harder because it requires extra effot and time.
If I plan things out beforehand, I can usually avoid extra work or having to spend more time than necessary, which would be working smarter.
Both. Come up with a plan. Solicit help if you need it. And work hard to make it happen. Then move on to the next task. Attack every project with the effort it deserves. Don't be afraid to break stuff. And let it go if a higher priority unexpectedly takes precedence. Come back around to clean up the mess another day. The goal should always be long term optimization of your efforts rather than mindless focus on a single task.
Definitely smarter. Smart is more efficient.
If you work smart and hard, you get it done right and more quickly. That's what I always did so that I could sneak away at times to do whatever.
Working smart also got me promotions.
A supervisor once said "I don't have to work all day to do an 8 hour job." What he meant was that if you worked smart, you could cruise some of the time and still be a superstar.
Smart planning is most important thing. In my job you can destroy a lot of money just with one wrong decision because most things cost like made of gold, or even worse to expose a patient to unnecessary pain.
Find the smart way to do it then work hard the smart way. But I think it really varies from tast to task.
I think I’m more of a “work smarter” person when I’m calm, but I become a “work harder” person when I’m overwhelmed or trying to survive a stressful situation …
I have always worked smarter. This can piss off stupid people though as I do it differently than what they were taught is the right way. But results don’t lie.
I was always a hard worker, but very efficient so that was working hard and smart.
"Work harder" is the "American dream lie"
" Work smarter" is what all successful people do.
Well when it comes to sports I train very hard and it’s a passion, even if I’m not feeling well. I push myself to the limit
I usually work harder and brute force it like everything else in my life.
Depends on what the end goal is. Sometimes working smarter is best, and at times you must work harder to gain something compared to others.
Work smarter, of course, although people don't realize it sometimes, but brain power is difficult and fatiguing.
As the saying goes. “When you are young and dumb and full of you know what!”
You tend to do things the quick way. Even if it is the hard way. As you get older. You tend to adapt experience to the task and do the work the easier way. Sometimes the easier way is the quickest way!
I used to work for the guy who invented that saying back in the 90s!
Work smarter.
i definitely try to find ways to make the work easier when i can. i innovate.
Of course smarter
