I love it. My current girlfriend (yes I am finally dating again) is very athletic. She attends the gym regularly, plays basketball and volleyball in a league her and her friends from college made up. She is also into martial arts.
At my current fitness level, she is just as strong as me (stronger in some things) and I have learned a lot training with her. Going to the gym together is one of our favorite things to do. She is the perfect gym partner and so far best partner in general :)

It's quite rare that both your physical goals are exactly the same
So in my opinion you both might distract each other if you're serious about yori physical objectives
Thats great , and such a good thing to be doing , nice , keep it up , great to have someone to train with.
