sometimes girls will call a guy gay to protect their own feelings- rather than deal with the fact that you don't find her attractive, she will just say its because you're gay so that way she doesn't have to feel like anything's wrong with her. not very nice, I know, but these types of girls will struggle with thinking they are ugly just because one guy isn't interested.
but if this has happened on multiple occasions, then its possible that there are other reasons that they are calling you gay. maybe you fall into other gay stereotypes so you rejecting a girl is just further "proof" that you are gay. stupid, I know, but people who are going to go around calling you gay when you said you are straight are narrowminded anyway.
Cause all we hear as girls growing up is that every man is out for one thing and dying for sex. We see lots and lots of guys desperate enough to sleep with anything that walks, so therefore, if a man rejects a possible offer to get laid, oh well, lol. But really it is because probably she did not want to face you rejected her.

Its happened to me, I just laughed and walk away. she is just saying it, to make herself feel better. she is hurt by being rejected. Whether your gay or not, is not of her business anyway. If she can't handle rejection, that's her problem. Next time it happens, just walk away from her, there is no need to respond to someone like that.
Or next time if you ask a girl out? and she rejects you, just ask her if she is a lesbian lol. If you can't beat them, you might as well join them.
This is the self entitled female equivalent to the male self entitled view of a woman being "stuck up" if she doesn't accept his advances. Some females feel that just because they like you that you should reciprocate her feelings. If you don't, then she justifies it by saying that the man doesn't like women, or is "gay" when in fact, he really loves women. He's just not attracted to her.

This is happened before to me, I turned down sex from a girl. I didn't know her name, she was drunk and I didn't find her attractive. Anyways she asked me if I wanted to go upstairs and have sex with her in a closet or something. She said I wouldn't even need a condom! (Which is stupid/disgusting btw). I said no, because I don't have sex outside of relationships. She said: "What are you? Some sort of a f@g?" and threw her drink on me and left. Then everyone at the party made fun of me for not having sex with her.

A guy would jokingly say something along the lines of " Aww, man what are you, gay? She totally wants you!"
A woman saying it is kinda weird but that just means she can't handle being rejected. She assumes because she asked you out that you're supposed to say yes. I don't understand why they think they have that power. We're equals dammit.

I feel your pain. In my case, I have a nice face and a good body. Physically, I'm appealing to women. I don't flirt with most women, I don't make them feel desired, I notice they want my attention, to flirt, etc, but most won't get it. I say no to night outs constantly and have rejected a few girls.
I don't have a girlfriend, am handsome and tall and don't make women feel desired, I don't flirt, I don't want to have sex with any girl that crosses my path, so nowadays, I have everything to be a gay man in a girl's eyes. I've been asked if I'm gay several times by women.
I used to get affected by it, but now I just answer: "just because I don't feel sexually attracted to you, doesn't mean I'm attracted to men." This is usually enough to end that stupid conversation.

I have never heard a woman say this. However I have heard men say that to other men in reference to rejecting women.
