Honestly, I do the same things, only more drastic. Maybe just try cutting only your bangs, if you don't want it to be short short like some of my pictures. Your bangs grow back fast and can keep your look ever changing. Or maybe try switching to cutting clothes. Cheap ones. It is a creative outlet, if you screw up it doesn't really matter. Plus, you might generate a new style, it is a bonus if you can sew. It's something I do. :)

You don't know how to deal with your anger so you seem to cut your hair. Its all in your head that you have to cut it when upset, Try something new, try to release your anger in a more productive way. Scream into a pillow or punch it, write down your anger, try taking deep breaths to try and calm yourself.
it's fun to reinvent yourself. some people go for retail therapy, others get their nails done, some people change their haircut or hair color. it's rather adventurous that you do the cutting yourself though.
A lot of people do destructive things when angry. They break something or hit somebody. You're taking it out on your own hair! A little different take on anger management.
Yes, you'll probably do someting you'll regret if you continue with this habit, but hair will always grow back..eventually.

this may be grounds for having extremely short hair. Maybe you just got used to cutting your hair whenever you get angry, try and relay the anger into something else, maybe involving a paint brush and maybe a bucket of paint. or if cutting things with scissors is your thing than maybe get a piece of paper or something and angrily cut shapes

You've trained yourself through operant conditioning. Basically you associate the relieve of anger with a stimulus (cutting your hair). Through that you get satisfaction every time you get angry. I think at first it could be sort of a change. I think subconsciously you could have found something irritating and you wanted a change. You then proceed to cut your hair the first time and got a joy/relieve out of it. So from then on you keep coming back to doing that.
I do something very similar; I dye mine. I have a small bit that I have dyed from red, to green, to blue, to purple... Etc. I makes me feel like Iam in control of at least one aspect of my life when eveything else is seeming to go wrong.

You might want to see a psychiatrist about that one.you want change,but you're trapped,you can't change your problems so you change your hair.
I cut the cheese when I'm delighted. I guess that makes us related in some way.
